I feel like a broken record at this point and it's really, really, really annoying...Recently, I've been getting messages from people, mainly about 2 things...#1: You're not doing anything other then just copying the original story and just making your OC/the reader the main character. Therefore you're trash and you're stories are trash, thinking your stories are the end all be all.
#2: You keep skipping over content in the story because you're lazy.
These are the main things I've been hearing from people for the past month, mostly from random people and some from some short time followers. I've explained my standing on both these things, and this will be the last time.
For #1. I get this mostly from my "Wolf Swordsman" story because I replaced Kirto, making him a side character and made my OC/the male reader the main character. As well as following the main story. I have not once, ever since I started this make it seem like my stories are the end all be all. Just because it's extremely popular, doesn't mean I think it's the greatest out there. There's plenty of stories better then mine, but I don't really care. I just want to make stories that interesting to me, and apparently to a lot of other people. I know I'm just following the main story, I know it's not original, but that's what I enjoy, that's how I like to do things, but if you don't like that, it's fine. You just don't read it...You leaving toxic comments isn't going to bully me into changing it, I'll just get you blocked. Also, people who complain about me doing this, but love SAO, DBZ or Fate Abridged or hypocrites. Because what they're doing is essentially what I'm doing. The story doesn't change at all, they're just changing the dialogue and making slight edits to make it more comedic.
And now for #2. People tell me I skip scenes because I'm being lazy, but I'm doing it because there's no point for me to write the scene. I primarily focus on parts that involve my OC or the reader or something major involving them is brought up by the character. If something isn't changed from the original, what's the point in writing it? I had people complaining that I skipped the Endeavor vs High End fight and other fights in season 4 of Shock and Awe. The fights didn't change, so what would be the point of writing? And another reason is that you skip over important plot points for the story. But the thing is, I shouldn't have to put those plot points in if they aren't changed, because you should already know them coming in. You should always, always read or watch the original before coming to mine or anyone's fan story. Because doing so, you have the full picture of everything, including backstories, plot points and things that could not be in a fan story. It's like seeing a Batman movie and having them skip his origins. Everyone knows his origin, you don't need to have it explained to you again.
I'm sorry for the rant, but it's extremely annoying when people rather be idiots instead of using common sense...
