IT HAD BEEN A FEW WEEKS SINCE NORAH'S ENCOUNTER WITH RAFE and she had barely seen him since that day, almost as if he was avoiding her. Her and her dad had since moved into their own house and she had actually gone home and slept a few times rather than staying at John b's to avoid her father.
On this particular day Norah was making her way to John B's to meet up with everyone so they could see an outdoor movie Kie begged everyone to come to. "Hey guys" she said as she waltz through the door, "Where's jb at?"
"No clue he's been MIA for a little while now, he'll come around soon. You know he's dealing with a lot recently" Kie said looking at from sitting on the couch, it was true, John B's dad while still sort of in the picture wasn't around anymore. The locals would often say that he was a nice guy but some treasure just doesn't want to be found and if he keeps searching for it, he might get lost himself and they were sort of right. JB knew his dad was in India somewhere searching for an ancient temple but he'd get worried every once in a while when his dad was unable to contact him because of being so deep in the jungle.
"Oh right fair enough... what movie are we seeing?" Norah asked now sitting across from Kie, "Scream isn't it" Pope called from the kitchen, he was less than optimistic as horror wasn't really his thing.
"Yup and if we don't move our asses right now we're gonna be really late" Kie stated getting up, "Cmon Jj you've slept like all day", he groaned and rolled off the end of the couch hitting the floor suddenly which jolted him awake.
"Yup .. ugh i'm uppp, lets gooo" he hoarsely said heading out the door as the others followed. The four piled into twinkie, guessing John B wouldn't be missing it for a few hours, and began the drive to the other side of the island.

"Yknow when you said outdoor movie I didn't immediately think of being surrounded by the people we basically hate the most" Norah pointed out as they found a spot amongst the crowd of mostly kooks. "I'm gonna have to agree with her on that one sorry Kie" Pope said leaning into one of the beach chairs as Jj nodded in agreement, "I get that we hate kooks and all but I'm also not about to let them stop us from doing whatever we want, okay guys?" Kie retorted rolling her eyes as she sat next to Norah shooting her a look for encouraging the boys.
She mouthed the words 'I'm sorry' before standing up, "Well I'm gonna go get water and popcorn, you guys want anything?"
"Yeah could you get me water too?" Kie uttered, Norah nodded and headed off to the food stands just off of where all the seats were. While she stood in line she looked around at everyone that was there, spotting only a few familiar faces until one stepped into view.
