“I am heading to Jeju right now.” He announced to his most trustable soldiers. “Lieutenant Jeon Jungkook, your incharge in my absence, keep a thorough eye on Tae.” Jungkook bowed his head. “I will surely, Your Majesty.” Jimin visited Taehyung before announcing this to his courtiers.
Taehyung wished him luck, and made a promise he’ll come back with you. He drove in the biggest carriage to Jeju. Galloping those horses. “The hunger of my heart shall be sealed once I gain what I’m craving for.” Four hours, those four hours were the hardest in his life.
He barged in Jeju’s street with his chariot, people were running here and there. It didn’t take a minuscule effort to recognise who the rider was? Royalty, majestic, brave King Park Jimin. His rash entry, raised fingers on one specific thing. A war.
Everyone was well aware he had lost no war in his five years of reign. Jimin was infamous for his cruelty and merciless behaviour in the war field. His recent annexation of the West Empire wasn’t unnoticed by all the provinces in Korea.
What had Jeju done to him for his sudden abhorrence? Weren’t they allies? People wondered, fear had surged their minds and hearts. His horse turned down some of the shops. Scaring the shopkeepers. He didn’t stop; his ultimate destination was the castle.
The royal soldiers tried stopping him from entering however Jimin was unstoppable. His eyes raging and sword pointing in the air, instantly weakened them. Opening the gates for him. He scoffed, jumping off the barouche. “KANG AH-RIM COME OUT.”
Jimin stood in the open grounds yelling out for her. Kangmin rushed out of his room, his soldiers had notified him of Jimin’s unannounced arrival. Didn’t he kick him and his daughter from his Kingdom on their last visit then why is here?
“King Jimin, what brings you here?” A shivering Kangmin politely asks. “I am not here to speak to you, call that wenched daughter of yours.” His pupils dilated. “What has Ah-rim done?” His sword flew in the air landing right beside the pillar Kangmin stood near.
“I do not miss my aim, remember that.” The old man’s legs went numb falling down on the ground. His men quickly came to his aid.
“You’re pathetic daughter sold my wife to the West King’s younger brother. Entering my Kingdom and my palace during my absence. Beat up my soldiers to get to me. Yet, you have the audacity to question me, what has she done?”
“Didn’t I warn you last time to take her away from my sight when I gave you the chance to do so? How audacious is she? To return back again? Today I shall end her, by my own hands.”
Kangmin crawled to Jimin, begging with him. “Forgive her, I’ll bring back your wife. She’s my only heir. Do not kill her.” Jimin scoffed, pushing him back.
“I respect elderly people. Not to the point I forgive my wife’s abduction and your daughter's intentional murder attempt. You're the father of that whore.”
“Do not hope for any sort of mercy from me. Unless you've pledged an attack on your Kingdom by me? I do not need any army with me. My sword is equivalent to an entire army.”
Jimin wasn’t boasting or lying, it was the truth. His wife was in danger he’d take any measures to bring her back.
“King Jimin you're here.” Ah-rim came out of the hall. Dressed in a beige gown, lips perfectly tinted with lipstick. He grabbed her hairs pushing her frame to the wall. Her head harshly comes in contact with the cold wall. Tears build in the corner of her lids.
