"Aether! Paimon! You're just in time!" Jean smiled as she spoke.

"In time for what Master Jean? Did something happen?" Paimon asked the woman.

"I'm afraid so - recently, for the past few months, there has been reports of someone constantly coming to Springvale and causing havoc there." Jean explained to the traveler and his companion.

"That's sounds terrible." Aether muttered.

"Indeed it is. I was wondering if you could possibly help investigate the matter. As of now, me and the Knights are too busy dealing with other urgent matters and reports - I hope this isn't too much for you." Jean says out of stress.

"Don't worry, you can count us to help solve this situation." Aether reassured the woman as Paimon gave a nod.

Jean let's out a relieved sigh and kindly smiles at the traveler and his companion. "Thank you, I truly appreciate it."

In Springvale, there was absolute chaos going on throughout the village. From people screaming and shouting to houses being set on fire and burning to the ground.

On top of the now broken down and burnt windmill, stood a boy with dark skin, white and black messy hair and fierce looking yellow eyes; laughing down at the townspeople.

He wore bandages around his arms and hands and wore brown fur ankle gauntlets that went up to his knees.

He had usual the Hilichurl cloth wrapped around his lower abdomen and hips, red painting on his face and arms, along with a fur-lined black shawl around his shoulders.
Finally, he wore an ominous mask pulled off to one side of his head and wielded a large axe.

"You dumb kid! Stop this madness at once! Can't you see wha--" A random civilian shouted from the bottom of the structure and was soon cut off by the boy - who spat on the man's face from all the way high up.

The man began screaming and shouting profanities at the boy on the windmill - who only laughed at him.

The man began running away, but sadly crashed into some barrels and went tumbling down to the ground.

"Ye gusha ika yaya! Yaya kucha pupu yaya!" The boy screamed out.

Not long after Aether and Paimon made it to Springvale and were shocked at what they saw. The burning buildings and roofs, people running away and screaming in terror.

"Yikes! It's absolute chaos here! What do we do?!" Paimon panicked as she nervously sweated.

Before Aether could say anything, they saw someone jump down from the windmill and saw them raiding all the houses for meat.
The moment they ran out of the last house and began running off, the traveler and his companion chased after them.

The dual haired boy soon took notice of the people currently chasing him, he decided to head to Wolvendom. By the time Aether and Paimon made it to Wolvendom, they've already lost sight of the boy.

"Oh come on! We lost him!" Paimon yelled as she stomps at the air out of frustration.

"Yeah... and he was pretty fast..." Aether spoke while panting heavily and trying to catch his breath.

"Mhmm, we best head back to Jean and tell her what we saw." Paimon said and her friend nods.

·

"I see..." Jean muttered as she thought for a moment while sitting at her desk.

Paimon and Aether had made it back to Mondstadt and have reported back to Jean about the incident. She sat down at her desk and took a moment to think of a solution for the current problem.

"For now, I'll think of a solution - you two should get some rest. I've already gotten some of the Knights to help repair the damage in Springvale." She smiled at the two in front of her.

"Thank you Master Jean!" Paimon smiled and turn over to Aether, "Come on, let's go get something to eat."

Aether chuckled and the two made their way out of the Favonius Headquarters. The two stayed silent until one of them spoke up.

"Today was very strange." Paimon commented and Aether agree.

"I agree as well - just who was that guy from earlier." The blond boy pondered as he stopped walking and Paimon floated beside him

"Well whoever that was, Paimon thinks he's a big old meanie! He literally burnt down a whole village just for their meat!" She frowned and crossed her arms.

"I agree." Aether says before they make their way over to Good Hunters and ordered their meals.

Once they were done, they headed out of Mondstadt and decided to have a small walk all the way to Windrise.
Once there, Aether sat down on one of the stone steps that surrounded the Statue of the Anemo Archon as Paimon floated beside him.

Aether let out a sigh and looked up to the dark sky and the small white specks that were scattered across the dark azure.

Unfortunately, the moment of peace was soon interrupted by the sounds of water splashing and incongruent muttering.

The blond boy soon got up on both of his feet and walked over to the near by stream of water as Paimon followed. There, they saw the dual haired boy from earlier.

He seemed to catching some fish and had already killed off the ducks in the water - given by the fact that there's fowl floating upon the waters.

The boy stashed away all the poultry and other meat he'd gathering in a clothed satchel and looked up to see the traveller. His yellow eyes met the blond's amber one's and the two boys just stared at each other for a few moments.

When the yellow eyed boy recognised the blond, his neutral expression changed into one of distaste.

"Wait a minute! It's you! You're that meanie from earlier!" Paimon screamed as she pointed at him.

"Ye! Gusha yaya!" He shouted as he pointed at both of them.

"What?" Paimon uttered with a very confused look. Getting frustrated, the boy pulled out his weapon and began walking towards them

"Uh! Wait!" Aether screamed as the boy swang his axe at him.

Aether managed to dodge the other's attack by rolling aside on the grass and soon got up on his feet.

Paimon got in front of the boy and tried to scold him - unfortunately for her, he didn't listen and just grabbed her by the cape and threw her; sending her flying into the branches of the large tree nearby.

"Paimon!!" Aether screamed and the angry boy then charged at him, but this time, the blade of his axe was set a blaze.

The dual haired boy swang his axe downard at Aether with all his might - Aether was able to block his weapon by pulling out his sword.

Both weapons clashed against each other; both of the boys using all their strength to try and overthrow the other.

Eventually, Aether's arms grew sore and struggled under the other's strength. The yellow eyed boy took notice of Aether's growing fatigue and used this to his advantage.

He raised his axe up over his head with a malicious grin and Aether stumbled back onto the ground. Just as the traveller thought this was it, the dual boy brought his weapon back down at him.

Just as the axe neared the helpless traveller, a gust of strong wind got inbetween the two and blew them back away from one another.
