Caspian

We started on foot... It is not like we had another option haha

The crystals were starting to lose their glow and somehow our surroundings looked grimmer even during the early hours of the day.

Heading back into the woods seemed to be a lot more difficult than it looked. This time we may not come back. On the contrary, my headaches have reduced drastically. Agnar said it's because I am more controlled and focused now, whatever that means.

I couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched constantly. The professor estimated that it would take us around four days to reach the northern valley. I feel a lot more confident now compared to the first time we walked in here. I am less frantic I suppose.

I turned on my GPS and searched for the northern valley. The professor keeps freaking out whenever one of us pulls out technology, must be because he is ancient or something. The northers valley was untouchable according to architectural history, none of the leaders dared to build there. There were many myths surrounding the valley, some say the valley is home to mythical creatures and their barries protect the hidden gems of the valley. Of course, no one knows what those gems are, many explorers lost their lives during the search, and a few who came back alive apparently lost their ability to remain sane.

The first bright rays of sun filtered through the leaves lighting up our path.

We have been walking for a few hours now and the sky settled for a gentle drizzle.

"Hey isn't this where we found Helen?" Agnar questioned.

The place did seem familiar.

"No, we passed that place a while ago," said the professor. "These woods are enchanted so there are subtle changes that take place. I advise you to not go venturing alone."

"hey, why do these crystals keeps getting dimmer and dimmer?" Aceline wondered out loud.

"Her power keeps getting stronger and stronger, the closer we are to her the more they fade," he replied.

"So her power contradicts yours?"

"Yes."

"Guys, the professor doesn't seem like the stronger sibling ... is it too late to switch sides?" Agnar whispered.

"Remind me to kill you please." Aceline sighed.

"So, why is your sister being a big bully again?" Agnar asked the professor. His question piqued my interest.

"She is just mad that our mom loves me more!" the professor sassed in response.

"wait, oh my god dude! Why are you dragging us into your family drama? Man, I am going home." Agnar yelled.

"Shhhh...shut up kid, this is not the place for yelling, I wonder why your sword even accepted you? I mean on a scale of 1 to 10, how dumb are you?"  The professor said in agitation.

"Umm.. guys, are the trees supposed to be glowing?"

"Oh no! The spirits have awakened. Quick. Duck!" The professor yelled.

I toppled over my feet and pulled Agnar down with me.

The forest erupted into purple flames around us.
