Chapter 9

C H A R L O T T E

You: Hey Harry, can I come over later? Or do you want to stay at my place? :*

Harry <3: I’ll come to your flat if that’s all right. In two hours? :**

You: Great =)

Charlotte went home and took a long shower. Then she did college work while listening to One Direction. Her mother always said that one should not do homework while listening to music, but how could she seriously deny the beautiful voice of her boyfriend and his best mates?

She heard the key turn and Elena stepped into the flat with two smoothies in her hand. She gave one of them to Charlotte.

“Hey Charly, I’m sorry I’ve been M.I.A. the past few days, but I wasn’t feeling that well and-“

“It’s fine, really. I’m just glad you’re back. Are you better now?”

“Yes, I’m all wonderful.”

“That’s good. If you want to, you can stay for dinner, Harry is coming over soon.”

Elena smiled and then frowned. “I don’t know…”

“Please, you met him last time, it was nice!”

“Maybe for you. But okay. Only if you stop that One Direction music though.”

Charlotte jumped happily. “Yay! And that’s my boyfriend’s music.”

“I don’t care, I still think it’s terrible.”

“What is terrible?” asked a male voice behind them. They turned around and saw Harry coming towards them.

“Nothing.” said Charlotte.

“Your music.” said Elena at the same time.

Harry just chuckled. “The door was open, so I came in. Hope that was fine.”

“Sure. I was just about to make dinner, so you two can just get comfortable while I-“

“No Love, I’ll help you.” “You can cook?” “In fact, I’m a great cook.”

Charlotte shrugged and gestured to the stove and ingredients that were already laid out. “All yours then.”

Harry had not been lying when he had said he was a good cook. The pasta had exactly the right consistency, and the pesto sauce was delicious.

They ate in the living room with the TV on the E! news channel. Suddenly a picture of the One Direction boys came on.

“One Direction have announced their third album. It is going to be called ‘Midnight Memories’ and it’s supposed to come out in November of this year.”

Charlotte turned to face Harry. “Really? That’s amazing! Why didn’t you tell me?”

He smiled. “I wanted it to be a surprise. But I guess it’s not that much of a surprise anymore, is it?”

She pouted. “Then please sing something later, okay?”

“Anything for you, Charlotte.”

“If you excuse me, I will slam my head on a wall now in the hopes of forgetting this.” said Elena and made a gagging sound.

“Just ‘cause you don’t like having a boyfriend doesn’t mean that I don’t as well.” teased Charlotte.

“Just ‘cause you have a boyfriend doesn’t mean you have to get all cheesy and sappy.” fired Elena back, a playful smirk on her face.

“Touché. But Harry just makes me feel so good.” He smirked. “I sure do.” “Harry!” Charlotte said, mockingly scandalized but actually laughing.

“Aww.” He walked over to her and gave her a kiss that soon turned more heated.

“Aaaaaand that’s my cue to leave. See you later!”

Both just gave a quick wave and resumed their “activity”.

A./N.: Really short because wow, I am so sad because of the thing with Zayn. They might claim that they will continue with the four of them, but I give them until the end of this year after they have brought out the fifth album. Then it's gonna be over. Solo career for Harry? The most important thing is that Zayn get better though. All we can do now is show our support and not make this any harder on them.

I will be on spring break on Friday, so hopefully I can update more frequently then. Stay strong, at least we had five wonderful years with them. Char xx
