Y/n is the second son of the chief of the rangers in the Hoenn region. When he sets out on a journey a new Ranger called Solana joins his Journey to learn more about pokemon.
This is Y/n and his team(at the start of the story) His ace pokemon is his aipom he called Kyuen(rescue in Japanese inspired by the fact that his father works with the rangers)

Y/n also caught a hoothoot but that is mainly his dad's pokemon as he normally leaves Hoothoot at the ranger hq with his dad to help him with ranger duties.
Y/n loves to go on adventures and spends 50% of his time exploring with Kyuen and he transfers Hoothoot as his foresight move helps with locating traps.
Y/n and Solana met each other when they were kids and since then had become best friends. Solana doesn't really like battling which is why she became a ranger but she likes to watch battling, especially Y/n.
