Ranger to the rescue(Solana x male reader)

Y/n vs Winona

Y/n and Solana wasted no time and entered the Forretree city gym. A large battlefield revealed itself as a lady in a flying type costume made her way to Y/n.
Winona:So Y/n you here for your first gym battle?
Y/n:Yeah!
Winona:Well although most trainers have 5 badges when they face me. I will allow you to have a two on two battle with me.
Y/n:Awesome! Thank you so much.
The two trainers made their way to the battlefield. Solana sat in the watching area as the ref explained the rules.
Ref:This will be a 2 on 2 battle between Winona and Y/n the challenger. The battle is over when one battler loses both of their pokemon. In addition only the challenger may change pokemon. Now may both trainers send out their Pokémon.
Winona:Swablu take flight!
Winona sends out a small blue pokemon with cloud wings. Y/n then uses his pokedex to identify the pokemon.
Pokedex:Swablu the Cotton Bird Pokémon. A normal and flying type pokemon. A pokemon that has wings like cottony clouds. After enduring winter, in which little food is available, Swablu flocks move closer to towns in the spring.
After learning about Swablu Y/n chooses his pokemon.
Y/n:Kyuen I choose you!
His partner pokemon jumps off his shoulder and the battle then begins.
Winona:Dive in with aerial ace!
Y/n:Use tail slap!
Swablu dives in at high speeds as Kyuen rises his tail and stops the cotton bird pokemon and hits her multiple times.
Winnona:Use mirror move!
Swable uses her tail to repeat the move that Kyuen.
Y/n:Use knock off!
Winona:Use safe guard(safeguard works differently in the anime where it can also be used to block attacks)
The dark type attack connects with the flying type but the blue pokemon glows green which blocks the attack perfectly.
Y/n:Quickly use tail slap!
Before Swablu could react Kyuen quickly assaulted her towards the ground. She is quickly able to get up and is still able to attack.
Winona:Use Aerial ace!
Y/n:Counter with secret power!
Kyuen glows white as he charges towards Swablu as both pokemon connected with each other. However Swablu was given the static infliction making her slower. Winona is impressed that Y/n was able to teach Kyuen a move like secret power. Both trainers look at their pokemon and they know that the last attack will end it.
Winona:(I should have chosen to use perish song earlier but now I can't) use Aerial ace!
Y/n:Use Aerial ace!
Both pokemon soar into the sky and accelerate towards each other. However Swablu is stopped by a surge of static electrical energy which forced her to remain still as Kyuen crashed into her and took her down.
Ref:Swablu is unable to battle. Aipom wins. Winona please send out your final pokemon.
Winona returns her fainted pokemon as she sends out her final pokemon.
Winona:Swellow soar into the sky!
Winona's shiny Swallow flies into the sky and is ready to battle. Kyuen is just about able to remain standing.
Y/n:(Kyuen is weakened from his battle against Swablu. I think he cam take about 1 or 2 hits but maybe I can get another set of paralysis) use secret power.
Winona:Use Peck!
The two attacks connect and luckily Kyuen is able to land a static infliction. Swellow however seems almost unfazed.
Y/n:Use Aerial ace!
Winona:Hyper beam!
Before the long tail pokemon could attack he is attacked by a beam of power which instantly knocks him out.
Ref:Aipom is unable to battle. Y/n send out your final pokemon.
Y/n:(I can't screw up with my next choice so I should choose my highest based pokemon) Go Lopunny!
He sends out his rabbit pokemon who looked at him with a smile before looking towards Swellow.
Y/n:Swellow can't move after using Hyoer beam so let's use Sweet kiss!
Lopunny rushes towards Swellow and kisses him on the forehead. Swellow gains rubber ducks around his head as he is now confused.
Winona:Use Aerial ace!
Y/n:Use Bounce!
Swellow tries to attack but just crashes onto the ground as Lopunny jumped high into the air before crashing down with bounce.
Y/n:Use drain punch!
Winona:Use hyper beam!
Swellow summons the beam and shoots it but Lopunny punches through the beam and hits Swellow. The green bird soar into the sky but is still confused and paralysed.
Winona:Use Aerial ace!
Y/n:Return!
The two pokemon rush to each other as Swellow hits the ground in confusion and  gets taken out by Lopunny.
Ref:Swellow is unable to battle which means that Y/n wins the gym battle!
Winona and Y/n return their pokemon as they walk towards each other at the centre.
Winona:As the winner at the Forretree City gym you have earned your first gym badge, the feather badge.
Y/n is excited that he had his first gym badge and him and Kyuen shared a high five to celebrate their first gym badge. That was when Solana ran to him and embraces him in a loving hug which made the young man blush hard.
Solana:You were amazing Y/n!
Y/n:T-thanks Solana.
After about a few minutes of hugging she realised what she was doing and let go blushing extremely hard. After that the two then made their way out of the gym before healing at the gym and then continued on the way towards Petalburg city. It was at this point that a certain pallet Town native made his way to Littleroot Town.
