Explaining the Multiverse

No one had really slept since the morning of the dinner party at Schnee manor. The day the Grimm came to invade Mantle. So finally stopping to lie down in actual beds was nice. The rooms they stayed in had different accommodations depending on the ones who opened each door, but all of them came with a bathroom and fresh sets of clothes for all of them. There were plenty of rooms, all they needed to do was pick one.

Team Ruby's room looked like their dorm in Beacon, however, the bunk beds were actual bunk beds, not a haphazard attempt at a DIY.

Qrow chose the room next to his nieces; the room had a single bed. He wanted to make sure he would be close.

Willow, Whitley, and Winter's room was on the other side of team RWBY's room and had three beds.

Robyn chose a room for herself, also one bed.

Ren, Nora, Oscar, and Emerald chose their room, with four beds.

The same went for the Ace Ops. They finally acknowledged their friendship and didn't feel like staying alone after losing Clover and Vine.

Pietro and Maria chose their rooms, and Sun and Neptune roomed together.

Saphron and Terra's room had one bed, and a crib on the left side for Adrian.

They all awoke the next morning, Dee and Tee fixing their internal clocks so there were no delays. They felt like they had just slept for a week. [That's a coma.] (Shut up.)

The showers and change of clothes were nice. The new clothes were identical to the ones they all wore in Atlas. The group that tried to save Mantle was walking down the hall, not wanting to sit still in the rooms, chose to take a walk around the "building". As they found themselves back in the lobby where they first arrived, they smelled something in the air.

Taking a few whiffs, Yang asked, "Is someone... cooking?"

All of their stomachs growled. It had been a while since they had all gotten a proper meal. Their noses turned them to face them to where the smell was coming from. Behind them was where they had just come from, where the Main Auditorium was. On their right, there was a door that had a plaque above that read Cafeteria.

They all looked at each other and shrugged. They headed towards the doors and opened them. The cafeteria looked more like a restaurant than a cafeteria. In the middle of the room was a long table with trays of food. A buffet line.

They saw that Robyn and the Ace Ops were already at their own tables eating. Pietro and Maria were enjoying coffee, and Qrow was at the table, filling his plate with hashbrowns.

Qrow turned to the door. Seeing his nieces and their friends, he greeted them. "Morning. You should get some food if you want."

"Whoah!" They turned and saw Sun, Neptune, Willow, Whitley, Winter, Saphron, and Terra, who was carrying Adrian, walking in behind them. "I'm so hungry." Sun quickly made his way to the table, grabbed a plate, and started putting eggs, bacon, and toast.

The rest soon followed. Getting their breakfast, and sitting together, the group dug in.

"This is... very good," Whitley said after taking a bite of a croissant.

"Is there any coffee?" asked Terra, still a little groggy. A bell sounded, and everyone looked around for the source. The swinging doors in the corner of the room... swung... open. To everyone's surprise, two trays with an assortment of drinks floated, actually floated, out, and to their table. Each drink then began floating and went to the people who had thought of what they wanted. Ruby, Nora, and Saphron got Hot Chocolate, while Terra, Weiss, Willow, Oscar, and Qrow received coffee. Blake, Ren, Winter, and Whitley were given tea. Lastly, Yang and Emerald got Orange juice, Neptune got Cranberry juice, and Sun and Adrian both got Apple juice, with Adrian's in a small sippy cup.
