On the eve of one clandestine meeting on December 12th, 1989, 17-year-old Betty was babysitting her neighbor's kids when she gets a call on the landline. "Hello who is this?" questioned Betty innocently.

"Your boyfriend has been spending an awful lot of time with the new girl in town recently." spoke an unfamiliar voice. And with that sentence the call hung up.

That was creepy, who would do something like that? Betty thought to herself. James would never cheat on me, would he? I'm going to give him a call. Almost hesitantly, Betty dialed James's house.

"Hello, this is the Kennedy's residence, who am I speaking to?" requested a quite lovely voice. This voice seems so unfamiliar, it doesn't sound like his sister or his mom.

"This is Betty, James's girlfriend." Betty stated. She was getting quite defensive, and she didn't even know who she was speaking to. For all Betty knew it could've been one of his sister's friends or something, but that call had a stranglehold on her and Betty couldn't let this go.

"Crap, sorry I have to go!" said the sweet voice from the other line. And with that the call ended. Betty knew at that moment her relationship was over.
