Adrik stared down at her barely clothed body. The sheet slipped down the arch of her back sitting gently on the curve of his generous ass.

Her fingers caressed the page of the book she was reading, her brows raising at something that had happened.

She took her lips between her teeth before mouthing the words on the page.

He watched. Watched. Licked his lips as she made the face the character was making.

He pressed his lips together, before softly reaching out to her.

Her fingers extended a bit her lips pressing together. His own lips quirked up. It was her day off. Her ankles were crossed, lifted.

She closed the book suddenly, closing her eyes, inhaling deeply.

"Too much?" He asked.

She looked up at him as if just noticing he was there.

She sat up, shedding her relaxed demeanor, caring her brown eyes away from him on the sheet. He sighed.

"Still? I told you. I did that in honor of you, Michelle."

She frowned. "I don't want murder in my name," she whispered. "I never asked you do to do that."

He stood, towering over her. "You're my Princess. Of course I defend your honor." He sighed, pulling his wallet out.

"Go get your nails done," he said, tossing a few hundred dollars on the bed.

She looked at it. "If you wanted to honor me...instead of killing people who call me a prostitute maybe you should stop treating me like one," she pursed her lips, her brow creasing.

He sighed. "I'm just talking care of you, printsessa. Like I promised I would. Indulging in your..." he touched her shoulder gently, her eyes closing at his touch. "Charms...is just...additional."

He sighed turning around, pulling a cigar out of a drawer putting it between his lips. He didn't light it, instead unbuttoning his shirt.

"There's someone coming to town soon," he said. "I want you to stay here this week."

She scoffed, standing, unfolding her long legs from under her, coming up behind him. She put her arms around his torso, her lips against his shoulder.

He sighed. "Get done whatever you need now. Next week will be a no walk zone."

Her lips quirked up. "What does that mean?"

He glanced back at her. "It means a stranger is coming to town," he muttered, reaching over on the nightstand for a lighter.

She grabbed it first, her long black nails wrapping around it. He glared at her, she smiled, putting it up to the cigar.

She lit it silently. He raised a brow but allowed it, puffing on the cigar.

"Oh...don't make me stay inside, Adrik. Take me with you," she whispered. "I'm...so scared to be alone since..."

He took the cigar from lips, turning around to look her in mind.

"Who do you think I am, printsessa?" He shrugged.

She smiled. "Adrik, I need this," she put her hands on his white lapels. "Please,"

He looked away, putting the cigar out. "Thought it was poison?" He murmured, nodding to it.

She shrugged. "You never listen to me anyway."

Adrik rolled his eyes, heaving a sigh. "Just because he's from out of town doesn't mean he can save you, Michelle. No one can save you from me."

She frowned, pulling away.

He sighed, catching her hand, and pulling her in. "I just mean...this arrangement, you being in town. I can't let you go. Even if I wanted to. So...don't get your hopes up. I don't want you to get hurt."

She scoffed. "Too late."

He gritted his teeth as she pulled away from him, getting back in bad, the money he'd tossed falling haplessly on the ground.

"Fuck Michelle. You are a monster from hell."

She raised a brow.

"Fine. Fine. I'll take you with me, Princess. Maybe you'll see..." he trailed off, instead turning around.

"You straight?" He asked on his way out. "Don't need anything?"

She shrugged, opening her book again, her face relaxing, mouthing certain words as she started back reading.

Book one. He sighed. Maybe there was a book two then.

"Leaving out," he grumbled, shutting the door behind him.
