He then just run out of view, not wanting to let you see him, trying to kick you to the waterfall. You smiled. He clearly underestimated you.

You closed your eyes, and focused your sense of hearing. You heard... The waterfall, the birds chirping, the wind, footsteps coming from behind you, the leaves...

Wait hold on. Footsteps coming from behind you. You turned. Sure enough, he was behind you, ready to strike with his staff. How did that appear? You were sure he wasn't holding that when you appeared here.

The staff almost hit you, had you not moved away with a backflip. You panted for good measure, trying to amuse him, while you were not at all tired. You had to hide a smile.

This guy... Is holding back.

His staff – and if your memory have not yet forsaken you, the name is Hariken [you have seen him fight a few times (courtesy of being trained by Akio) and you had to remember a few things] – had not yet taken its form as a double-bladed one. You mentally smirked.

Oh, this will be fun.

And he ran again! You were expecting him to do the same stunt again, and you simply waited. You closed your eyes, focusing on the slumbering power inside of you and let a small sum of it out.

In every assassin... There was a form of magic slumbering deep inside him, called Core of Magic. Sometimes, they take form in what you are passionate about, or what everyone always thinks about you.

For example, if someone were to think of you as the light that brighten the darkness lingering in one's heart, that Core of Magic will take form of blinding light that could make someone go crazy just by looking at it.

As for you, they think of you as a lot of things. Which is why you were given Core of Magic — Elementals. This is a really powerful form - you could manipulate the elements, use your mana to control others... Many others.

In this case, you used your mana to change the knife you were holding to a single-bladed staff. Much better. You twirled the staff with such ethereal grace it was as though you were dancing.

Footsteps came from the side and you turned, the staff hitting Hariken, making yours glow (f/c) before swirling into a dark obsidian. After that, everything went black.

She closed her eyes, a crazed grin split on her face. She snapped her eyes open, and the (e/c) eyes turned red with a black sclera. Those eyes... They were out for blood, for death, anything in the middle of those lines.

"Hehehehehehehehe.... Let's have fun, Kaze-san~" she trailed, her voice sounding so innocent yet filled with a silent promise to kill me.

I smirked, twirling my staff dangerously. Pouring just a little bit of my mana into my staff, Hariken turned into a double-bladed weapon. I pointed one of the blades to her, the smirk not yet leaving my face. Her face was filled with crazed happiness, as though she was expecting me to do that.

I didn't know how she does it. She just turned to the left and when I blinked she was gone. Her footsteps were surprisingly silent; I couldn't hear the steps at all. Gripping Hariken, I pointed one of the blades to the right.

No one.

Then I heard laughter, and I turned to face this girl.

No.

She isn't a mere girl.

There's something about her that is so familiar, yet so unfamiliar. I couldn't really place it. I spun Hariken so that it would stop the single-bladed staff she was holding. My staff glowed (f/c) before it glowed to a warm color. Green. (I'm so sorry if this is your favourite color but for when I say f/c I please use your 2nd f/c ) Calm.
