Felix's POV
(Next day)
"Good morning"
Professor Haz smiled at me "So, we have a new student named Tiu-"
"Jeon Hana"
"Yeah, sorry. It's been a long time since had a new student. The last new student we had is-" Professor Haz
"We have to go"
He nodded "Sorry, I am being talkative again"
He stood up and left his office. I just followed him to our classroom. He is our assigned to teacher for today. He was assigned to a different class after what happened to Ashika. No wonder he never forgets her name. He is Ashika's favorite professor.
As we entered, everyone is there except for Hana. Professor Haz looked at me, questioning Hana's absence without telling us.
"Katana, did Hana told you something?"
Katana shook her head as answer.
"I saw her this morning. She doesn't look well" Ari said
"Okay, can any of you pay her a visit and make sure she is fine?" Professor Haz
"I'll do-"
I wasn't expecting the seven of them to stand up. What? I can do it myself, why do they have to volunteer? I am in charge of the students' safety. The seven of them realized the situation and awkwardly sat.
"Oh okay, it feels like this scenario happened before" Professor Haz said while slightly sitting on the table "I guess Jisung-"
"I'm sorry, something came up" Hana said and entered the classroom
"You are probably Hana? That nee student..." Professor Haz gave her a smile
She bowed "I'm sorry I am late"
"No worries. You can go to your seat, even you Felix" Professor Haz
I was about to go to my seat-
"Wait- Hana" Professor Haz called and stood in front of Hana
Hana and I were both confused.
"What's that on your wrist? Are you okay?" Professor Haz asked
I looked at her wrist and I just noticed it has red marks and it is so visible. Fuck. That hurts so bad. I bet.
She hid it quickly "Uh... Nothing"
"Go to the clinic"
Hana looked at me.
"There is no assigned student today" Sumin said
"I'll go with you"
"I'm really fine-"
I held her wrist "You call this fine?"
She looked down.
"Okay, you two, may go" Professor Haz said
I left the classroom and can feel Hana walking behind me. Where did that came from? How come she keep getting attacked and not reporting it?
"Hana" I called and stopped walking
I felt her head hit my back.
"A-Ah. Why didn't you say you will stop walking?" she annoying asked
"Sorry"
She went beside me "What?"
"We are here. Go inside"
She went inside and sat on the chair. I took some ointment that can be temporary treatment for her red mark. I carefully massaged the red mark with the ointment.
"Where did you get that?"
"I don't know. I woke up and saw this. Katana is shocked as well. She didn't notice anyone inside the room" Hana said
"Are you sure? It's impossible not to feel anything when you have this red marks. I am sure you will feel the pain"
Hana sighed "Someone went to our room last night"
"What do you mean?"
"When someone died, the power went off, I was alone in the room. I was about to leave when someone tied me on the floor, blindfolded me and covered my mouth. I tried so hard to see who it was but it was so dark" Hana
"Did he hurt you?"
"He didn't. He left after and left a letter on the floor" Hana
"What did it say?"
"He is asking if I am Ashika" Hana
"I see. He probably heard of the rumor. Hana, I am sure he is after you. I want you to be careful at all times and make sure to trust yourself only"
"Aren't you going to tell me to trust you?" Hana
I shook my head "I don't trust you either"
"Why? I can be trusted better than you" she glared at me
"That is not what I mean. I don't trust anyone, not even myself"
"Why?" Hana
"I am not the person who I am years ago before I entered this Academy. I badly want to leave more than you do"
Hana looked at me "I thought everyone here never thought of leaving this place. I guess you are all desperate more than I am"
"I am scared of one thing"
"What is it?" Hana
"I am scared that once I left this place, everything I witnessed will be on my mind forever"
Hana tapped my shoulder "Look at you! You are still fine and looking good. You survived every day of witnessing dead bodies. I know, one day, you'll be able to live the life you wanted"
"Hana, aren't you regretting that you entered this place?"
"No, meeting new people really is my thing and losing someone is my greatest fear" Hana
"Do you want to leave?"
"Half of me says yes, half says no. Crazy. I wanted to leave but I want everyone else to leave as well" Hana chuckled
I reached out my hand "Then, promise to leave this place with me, alive. In that way, I will be able to live the life I wanted"
She smiled and nodded "Okay, if that will make you happy"
I don't fucking know what's gotten into me...
I kissed her.
