Chapter 5- Picnic Date

I walked around the jewelery store looking at rings. From silver to gold, diamonds and pearls. All just seemed too basic for Azelia. It had to be a special ring, a promise ring. I almost gave up when I eyes landed on the most Azelia type of ring I've seen so far

It was 6:50 pm and I parked outside Azelias house. I had the picnic basket and blanket in the back op my black jeep wrangler. I was excited and nervous at the same time. What if she said no, what would I do then? I tried to ignore the negative thoughts and pushed at the back of my mind as Azelia came outside.

She was wearing the most beautiful dress. It fit her soo perfectly.

After an hour drive of talking and laughing we arrived at the flower fields. We set up the blanket and snacks. We talked and laughed for hours.

As night started to roll around we were snuggled up under a blanket. Her head rested on my chest. We would both glance at each other every now and then. This felt like the right moment "umm... Azelia do you want to be my girlfriend? " she smiled brightly "yes, I was waiting for you to ask that."she climed onto my lap and pecked my lips. It felt surreal kissing my girlfriend under the night sky. We continued kissing until it felt I was about to pass out. We both pulled away for air to fill our lungs. She laughed.

"what's so funny? " I ask with a smile on my face. "I can't belive you finnaly asked me put " tears brimmed her eyes. "What's wrong, did I do something" I ask concernd."No this is happy tears I don't know if I told you this before but I've liked you since Sophomore year. "she anwserd. Shocked I asked "That's so long why did you never talk to me, I wouldve falled for you in an instant" "No belive me you wouldent I looked way different back then. I was ugly. " "No, don't say that I won't belive it for a second youve always been beautiful since freshman year" I said blushing. "Wait you had a crush on me way back then! " she asked shocked.i just laughed. "I mean who wouldent fall for you, you've always been stunning." "I can't with you "she laughs.

"I almost forgot here. " I put the box in her hands."No, you shouldn't have." she looks at me."Open it first. "I say smiling at her. She opens the box and gasp"Its soo pretty, thank you"she leans and gives me kiss.
