"fall in love? you can do that?" sooyoung asked in disbelief since joohyun never really interested with those love stuff but now after meeting with the girl that she just met, it change in a snap. yerim nudged sooyoung's arm with her elbow, pointing at their friend who looks really, really in love. joohyun look outside of the window, grinning at the thought of the stranger that she met earlier.

"you know communication is important if you want to get to know her better." yeri said as she sit on the couch with food in her hand, "that girl probably had a boyfriend already or a girlfriend."

joohyun's eyes widened open and look at the younger with a shock face, "w-wait, she has a boyfriend?!"

"we don't know that." yeri shrugged, "that's why people said communication is a key! if you see her again, just ask that if you're really curious about her love life. get to know her. that's how people make friends." she explain and laugh a little knowing that joohyun really sucks at making friend since they were kids. sooyoung snickered, "yeah, our introvert little joohyun make friends? i'd pay to see that."

joohyun let out a sigh, "look, if you guys don't want to help me . . . i'll figure how to talk to this beautiful stranger by myself." the older of them three smiled before walking upstairs to her room. yeri furrowed her eyebrows as she look at the older girl while picking up a book, "beautiful stranger? she did not just say that."

"well . . . she did." sooyoung replied, chuckling a little at her friend.

for the seven times this week, joohyun is searching for the book—no, she actually waiting for the brunette to come back to the bookstore. no sight of her but still, joohyun won't give up until they become friends.

the glass door being opened and joohyun turn to see whoever enter the store but her smile disappeared when it's just a regular customer that she see everyday. joohyun bowed so that she won't look rude to them and walk to the 'horror' section, frowning. the store almost close now, just like before, joohyun will wait until the end of the day before going home. it's because she want to see her again, which obviously not happening right now.

she almost lose hope. joohyun thought maybe she should just buy the book and get out of here. this is hopeless, she should be mature and know that not everything is like a romance drama that she was being forced watch by her friends or romance books that people love to read and share it with her. reality and the truth. . . it hurts. knowing that it probably just one-sided love. joohyun sigh, grab the random horror book that she see before walking to the counter. as she was walking, the shelves of the most famous books caught her attention and joohyun scowl when she look at the title, 'unrequited love'.

"great, another mood killer." joohyun whispered, placing the book on the counter. a nice, old lady greet her with a smile as she put the book in the plastic bag, "i always see you in my store everyday. you probably should consider working here." she joked.

joohyun let out a chuckles, "sorry. if you and your customers feel uncomfortable, it will be the last—" she was cut off by the sound of the voice that she recognised almost immediately. joohyun turned around, gasp when she see the familiar brunette enter the store. the lady tilt her head, "oh no, i didn't feel uncomfortable at all. in fact, i was happy because at least, there's someone that's interested with this place or maybe, waiting for a girl."

"o-oh, i love this store, ma'am." joohyun turned to the old lady back and the lady nod her head, "if you like her so much, then go ask her out."

"yes! thank you!" joohyun was about to leave but then she realised what the lady just said and her ears are turning red, "and, no, i-i just want to be her friend." she said before running to the brunette, who's busy looking for a book. seulgi already finished reading the book that she bought earlier and come back to buy another one. the raven-haired girl stopped when she finally see her and smiles, "want book recommendations?" she managed to say, despite the panting.

seulgi looked at her, immediately smile and point at her, "joohyun. . . right?"

"yeah." joohyun replied, nodding her head as she walk toward the brunette but when she's in front of her, the awkwardness in her suddenly take over, "y-you already finished that book?" joohyun stuttered as she looking down. she's not used to this feeling. seulgi let out a giggles that never fail making her heart flutter, "yes! i actually need your help, i know you didn't read the romance books but i want your opinion. can you help me—"

"yes i can!" joohyun cover her face with both her hands, speaking loudly for no reason is actually pretty embarrassing. but seulgi just laugh at her, "alright. i need your opinion about this book and also . . . this one."

they spend few hours in the store, looking for a perfect book and also, talking about their favourite authors. the close time is now but the old lady didn't want to interrupt their moments. joohyun still act awkward and afraid that seulgi will think she's weird but actually, the brunette thought it was cute for the older to act like that. they even made jokes, hand brush against another, and joohyun had a little courage in her to flirt with the brunette.

when they realised what time it was, they immediately apologise to the owner and paid the books, well, joohyun's the one who pay the books for seulgi.

"you know you don't have to do that, right?" seulgi break the silence as they exit the store. joohyun smiled and turn to look at the brunette, "yeah, but i want to. you're . . . my first friend after i get out of my house. i-i mean, we're friends now right? or not? still strangers?"

god, what's wrong with me?

seulgi giggles, nodding her head and smile, "we are friends now. thank you, stephen king's kid." she said before walking away. joohyun found herself blushing hard at the nickname and grab her wrist to stop her, "wait."

"hm?" seulgi raised her eyebrow. joohyun gulped, her eyes is still looking down but slowly looking up to ask her the question that she's been dying to ask,

"seulgi,"

"can i have your number?"
