Rebel's POV: October 7th, 2013 (Quinn is 22 weeks pregnant)
The school year for Yale started a few weeks ago and Quinn didn't move back. She's doing classes from online. I asked her if she wanted to move back or not and she said no, so we didn't. I wanted her to complete her education in person because it might be better but she refused. She wanted to be near our friends and family during her pregnancy.
Plus, she's doing amazing in her online classes. She can't dance right now for obvious reasons, but her singing is off the charts. Like her song is gonna release in about a month and it's gonna be magical. I know out. Her vocals have improved so much. She's been hitting all these high notes and low notes and gosh, I can gush about her singing all day if I wanted to. And I want to but I should on finding out the gender of my twins now.
Quinn and I are currently in Dr. Murphy office, waiting for her to come in. We are about to find out the gender of our twins. I'm beyond excited. I can't wait to start picking out their clothes and their cribs and toys and all that good stuff. It's the end of September and Quinn is 20 weeks pregnant. This is the day we've been waiting for ever since we found out Quinn was pregnant.
"Are you two excited!!" Dr. Murphy yells as she comes into the office and Quinn and I clap and cheer.
"Oh yeah. I can't wait to find out the gender of these two gemstones." Quinn softly says as she rubs her baby bump that is beyond visible. Her stomach is bigger than the normal 22 week pregnancy belly because she is carrying twins.
Well obviously Rebel, I think everyone knows that. I think to myself and I shake my head at myself.
"We definitely are!!" I cheer excitedly as I grab Quinn hand and hold it. She was sitting on the doctors office bed.
"Alright, let's get right into it shall we?" Dr. Murphy says with a smile as she sets up the scanning equipment and Quinn and I look at each other with bright smiles on our faces.
"Are you nervous?" Quinn asked me with a raised eyebrow as she notices my hand shake in hers.
"A little, I mean, I'm finally finding out the gender of my babies. It's kinda nerve racking." I admit to her as I rub the back of my neck.
"I understand. If I'm being honest, I'm a little nervous to. But I'm also very excited to finally buy them their clothes, cribs, bottles, toys and all the other things babies need." Quinn admits to me with a smile and I nod my head.
"I'm very excited for those things too." I say as I give her a small peck on the lips and she smiles into the peck.
"Okay, let's find out the gender now shall we." Dr. Murphy states with a bright smile and Quinn and I nod our heads frantically. "So I'm just gonna ask you to lift your shirt Quinn. And the gel I'm putting on your stomach is cold as you know so beware." The doc warned Quinn and she nods her head as she lifts her shirt up. The doctor puts the transducer into a small container of gel. Once the transducer is coated in gel, the doctor puts it on Quinn's stomach and she hisses.
"God I forgot how cold this shit was." Quinn's teeth begin to shatter and I let out a laugh and rub my thumb over the back of her hand. "And what are you laughing at?" She questions me with an intimidating raised eyebrow and my eyes go wide.
"Uh, nothing. Nothing, I just remembered something funny from like 15 years ago. It has nothing to do with you." I comment while shaking my head frantically.
"15 years ago, you were 4." Quinn states as she arches her eyebrow even higher and I start to get nervous. Oh no she caught me.
"Yeah, I had a friend named Billy and he called the teacher a poopy head. Good times, good times. Me and Billy should have a reunion." I say with a goofy smile and Quinn squints her eyes at me.
