Oliver and I rushed to the hospital. I had to see my mom, and I had to see her now. I go up to the front desk. Oliver trailing behind.
"Hello, how can I help you? " The receptionist asked.
"Ya, hi. I'm here to see a patient. I just really need to see her now.
"Ok, can I get the patient's name?"
"Ya, it's... it's" And then, I couldn't finish my sentence, before the situation, tears, and emotions caught up to me. I just stood there with tear in my eyes, and a stupid, shocked look on my face.
"Her name is Shirley Hills." Oliver answers for me.
"Oh, I see her. It will be just a minute before you can see her. "
We both go and sit, and wait. I am still in major shock. I am crying more than ever now.
"Hey, Penelope, calm down." Oliver said while looking deeply in my eyes. "Your mom will be ok. She is in the best care possible."
I don't even answer. I just look back into his eyes, and just fall into his arms. I give him the biggest longest hug, and don't let go. He hugs me back. I feel safe, and I feel like every thing will be ok. That is all that I want. We are called back.
