The next morning,Jerry had a special meal of decaying leaves.After that,he went to the exploring in the forest.Then,two little boys stepped on him.He had died.People were getting worried that Jerry hadn't gotten home yet.So they sent Stella to go and find him.She fond his squished body and carried it in her mouth to the lake.Everyone saw that he was dead.They had a ceremony for him.They had buried him next to the lake with some cheese puffs,gold,and leaves.It was the worst day in the history of Hornwood Forest.Evryone was sad and stayed in their homes for the rest of the day.Stella stayed at Jerry's grave and talked.
"You were the forests' hero",she last said and flew away.
