"Blue-jean baby
L.A. lady
Seamstress for the band
Pretty-eyed
Pirate smile
You'll marry a music man"
They first met at the airport, her glistening blue eyes and white smile instantly catching his attention. The ripped jeans complementing her hips with a white Rolling Stones tshirt cropped, sunglasses pushing her hair back, he was completely fascinated by her. One of his band mates shoved his shoulder, snapping him back to reality. They started to tease him but he ignored them. There was no denying that he was hooked.Like him, she was following a dream. Like him, she had no idea where it would lead her to at so young. Like him, she was at the right place at the right time, with enough talent to make the cut and sign the contract. She was the stylist, he was the singer.
"Ballerina
You must've seen her
Dancing in the sand
And now she's in me
Always with me
Tiny dancer in my hand"He watched her dance with Lou in the sand. They were in Florida and had the night off, the hotel was practically on the beach. Blue summer dress flying everywhere as she spun, hair following, she laughed a contagious giggle. He tried to keep up with the lads as they kicked the ball around, but couldn't take his eyes off her.
He wandered how the lads weren't gawking at her too, how they could just tour with her as a friend or crew member, and not go to bed thinking about nothing but her, how they could talk to her and not spend the rest of the day replaying that conversation in their heads.
When Paul announced it was time to go back, he was delighted to be the one holding her hand, walking her back to the hotel and kissing her lips a good night.
"Hold me closer, tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today"He held her tighter as they stumbled towards the honeymoon sweet. He quickly swiped the key card and pushed the door open, before hooking his arm under her legs, a loud giggle coming from her. Champagne was still rushing through their blood as he set her down safely across the threshold, re-attaching their lips as he kicked the door closed behind him.
He fiddled with the light switch beside her head until he found the low lights above each side of the bed. He turned the dimmer until it was just right, almost like candle light, before lifting her in his arms again and swiftly moving towards the bed.
The silky sheets flew up when she landed on them, rose petals flying everywhere. He stared down at her in awe, her smiling brightly through her giggles, cheeks blushed, lips swollen. She reached for his tie hanging loosely around his neck, pulling him down to meet her. He kissed her for a moment as she opened his shirt buttons, before pulling back. He quickly pulled the shirt off his shoulders, sending it flying off his arms. He got down on his knees infront of where she sat on the bed. He gently lifted a foot, opening the strap. She hissed as he pulled off the shoe. It had been a busy day to be wearing heels, but the gentle kiss he placed on her foot caught her attention, distracting her from the pain.
"Oh, oh, how it feels so real
Lying here, with no one near
Only you, and you can hear me
When I say softly, slowly"The last baby had just moved out, all four starting their own journeys. It was just the two of them in the house as they lay in the egg chair, a blanket wrapped around them out in the garden. Their song played quietly in the background as he hummed lightly, her head sitting comfortably on his shoulder.
"Look how far we've made it baby".
