The episode came to an end and I was also finished with eating. Then my phone rang. An unknown number was calling. I was scared. Again.
"Who's calling this late anyways?" went through my head to calm my nerves. "They will hang up at some point I guess," I said and made myself comfortable on the couch and pulled my blanket closer to my body. A few minutes passed and my phone was still ringing. I was annoyed but maybe it was mom or dad. I didn't know if I should answer. I normally just answer my friends, boyfriend or family members that I know because I'm too scared to talk to strangers. I can't even call my hairdresser or doctor. Could it be my parents? They think I'm already in bed and sleeping at this time right? Then why should they call me? "Maybe it's an emergency."
As the minutes passed the ringing began to make me a little bit nervous. It just didn't stop.
I wasn't sure if I should just turn it off at this point but a voice in the back of my head told me that something's definitely wrong and I should answer the phone to get more clarity.
Although I hesitated at the beginning, with the hope that the ringing would eventually just stop, I finally picked up. "Uhm hello...," I said in an uncertain voice. "Timmy? Listen to me now." The voice sounded like my father, "Do what I tell you. Take your phone with you and leave the house immediately through the door which leads to our garden. And be very quiet. Run as fast as possible very far away and call the police. Hurry up. Otherwise it will be too late for you!" "Dad? Hello? Is that you? What are you saying? What do you mean it will be too-" He just hung up.
I noticed again how my whole body was beginning to shake. I didn't know what to do or believe. I called my dad on his phone. After that I called my mom. No one answered me. I even tried it with my uncle's phone number that my parents left behind for me. He didn't answer. I slowly began to panic even more. "Why should I leave the house at night? And was that really dad? Why would he not answer his phone if he suddenly hung up? Why is nobody answering me?
If that wasn't my father, how did this guy know my name? What does he want from me? Why did he call? Maybe someone wanted to scare me... but-" All these questions buzzed through my head. But all of a sudden, I heard a noise from above.
It sounded like the bathroom door just closed.
