2. Weird feeling

I opened my eyes. A little stabbing pain crawled up my temple. I must have really fallen asleep.

I looked through the window. It was already dark outside. I decided to look at the clock again: 7:02 p.m. I ran downstairs and called for my parents. No answer. They were apparently already gone. The first thing I did was go to the kitchen and browse through the cupboard which was full of candy. Usually I was allowed to snack a bit after lunch. This time I got myself a big bar of chocolate. I sat down in the living room and turned on the TV. I felt great. No parents. No rules. And for my friends, this was everyday life. I switched through all the channels. Nowhere was anything good to see. But the best movies start late anyway or I could just switch to Netflix if I didn't find anything to watch.
Nevertheless what surprised me this evening was why my parents just left without telling me. As caring as my parents are, it's already suspicious. "Maybe they left a letter," went straight through my head. I walked back to the kitchen and there actually stuck a blue note on top of the kitchen counter. I only had to look at it once and recognized my father's shitty handwriting.

Timmy my darling,

Since you fell asleep in your room, we didn't want to wake you up anymore. Your mother and I are about to set off. Please close all the windows in the evening and don't do any nonsense yeah? If anything happens, we are available all the time or you can quickly go over to Mrs. Connor. We have already informed her that you are alone. You know very well that you have to be in bed at ten. Your mother has prepared pasta and vegetables for you. You just need to warm it up in the microwave. Otherwise, we'll see you on Sunday...

"I certainly won't go to bed at ten who do they think I am? A 12 year old? Oh hell no." Below the letter was my uncle's phone number. I wasn't hungry at that time so I left the kitchen, turned off the TV and went back up to my room with the chocolate I grabbed before. I turned on some music and turned it up really loudly. Then I opened the chocolate and placed a few items that I used for drawings like brushes, pencils and paint on my desk. After an hour I think the sweets I brought were empty and my drawing for art class almost finished , so I decided I wanted to get something to drink and the pasta my mom made. When I was on the stairs, something weird happened which I wouldn't forget so easily...
