"INAYAH!" Her mom called out to her as she laid back in her bed before her mom's head popped into her room. "Did you finish that Bible study?"

"Yes mama" The fifteen-year-old girl nodded her head picking up the Bible that laid next to her.

"Ok, cause you know your dad is gonna ask about it at the dinner table," she said "and come set the table while I finish cooking"

Eboni nodded sitting up once her mom walked away from her room. She heard her phone vibrate on her nightstand making her pick it up and look at it seeing it was a call from her best friend.

She picked up waiting for it to connect and once it did the dark-skinned girl on the other line popped up with a big smile."Eboni come outside"

"You know I can't" she replied to her best friend as she moved her vixen sew-in that she got done for the first day of school out of her face.

"Yo' daddy need to let you be a teenager" she huffed

"You're the reason why he won't let me go outside" Eboni told her truthfully.

Eboni's dad felt that Skylar was a bad influence on Eboni since she was from the hood and Eboni wasn't. Skylar hung out with all the hood dudes around her neighborhood and he didn't want Eboni to get into that.

Her mom didn't see a problem with it since that's where they both came from but instead of going against it, she respected her husband's wishes. He did everything for her so she always agreed with everything Eboni's father said no matter what.

"Than ask your mom she don't care" Skylar told Eboni making her huff.

Eboni was a very outgoing and obedient child but having a strict father made her want to do the opposite of what he wanted. She understood he was a pastor and wanted a good look for himself but she just wanted to have fun like the other kids.

She stood up from her bed putting Skylar on mute before going to her mom that was cooking. "Mama?"

Her mom looked away from the pot at her daughter.

"Can I go meet up with Skylar?" She asked politely

"Just Skylar?" She asked making Eboni nod her head "Be back before your dad gets home at 10"

Eboni mentally celebrated in her head-turning around "And fix the table before you go like I said"

"Yes ma'am" she replied grabbing plates and utensils out of the cabinets and drawers. She set them up on the dining table in the same spots that they sat in every day.

Once she finished she went into her room taking Skylar off mute. "Where you at?" Eboni asked making Skylar smile brightly.

"I'm at that one park we were at when you came out here last time" Skylar told her

"Hamilton" She asked and Skylar nodded "Okay I'll be there in a few"

She hung up going to her closet and putting on a bape hoodie over a white tank top she already had on. Topping her outfit off she put on a pair of PINK slides.
