Theresa's POV
I heard a knock on the door, and I walked to open the door, only to find Doris standing there.
"Hello, Doris." I smiled at her.
"Hello, Theresa. Have you seen Alma? I thought she would be here with Luis." She spoke.
"I was about to head out to you. I can't find Luis or Kaya anywhere." I said as I grabbed my coat and closed the door behind me.
"Where have the kids have gone to? Especially with those things crawl around here?" Doris was panicking.
"What things?" I asked.
Doris explained to me how she and Alma almost got attacked by pale creatures a few days ago, thirsting for blood. My god, no wonder this town is so strange. I thought of zombies, but vampires crossed my mind. Now, I need to get Luis and Kaya out of this hellhole as Doris agreed with the same thought of getting Alma out of here. Lately, Harry has been acting strange and has been spending way too much time with Kaya. I found that suspicion that a married man would take interest in a 19-year-old girl. I need to investigate on that as well.
We reach the cemetery where I saw those.... creatures. They're so pale and terrifying.
"Are those the creatures you're talking about?" I whispered to Doris.
"Yes." She nodded as we quickly speed away as fast as possible.
Then, I found Luis and Alma crouch down on the ground of some grave.
"Alma? Luis? Come on, it's time to go." Doris told them.
I walked up to them and pull them up, only for me to scream as blood covered both of their faces as they were drinking out of a rabbit's corpse.
Kaya's POV
I got home when I heard my mom shouting in the bathroom and went upstairs to find Mom scrubbing Luis down so hard with soap and water."Mom, what's going on?" I asked.
"Where have you been?" Mom asked me as she glared at me.
"I was hanging out with Lark." I technically told half the truth because I went to get my teeth fixed, suggested by Harry.
"Well, get your shoes on. I need to take your brother to the hospital. I can't even believe this is happening." Mom ranted.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Luis was drinking blood out of a dead rabbit! With Alma! Jesus Christ, have my son gone possessed?!" Mom yelled as Luis was crying.
No....no! Luis must've snuck in my room and took one of the black pills. Same thing with Alma. Fuck! I'm so fucked now! I should've put it together when his violin skills suddenly got better lately.
TIME SKIP
We arrived at the hospital where Luis just got checked and has no rabies or Lyme disease. But that doesn't stop mom from freaking out why Luis would drink from a dead rabbit, but I do. Then, I heard Doris is in the hospital after falling from the stairs. Mom decided to check on her as I dragged Luis to the side as I saw Alma at the vending machine, and I grabbed her.
"When did you two took the pills?!" I demanded.
"When you went out with Lark." Luis explained.
"When Dad went out." Alma explained. "You took the pill too?" She asked.
I let out a heavy sigh before saying, "Yes, I did."
"Then, the three of us are going to be greatest kids of all time. I can see it." Luis spoke.
"Yeah, Luis and I can play better than before. I finally understand Dad's need to be inspired. And you have been inspired too. We can be a huge inspiring family if our moms take them." Alma spoke.
I don't like this but now, I have to deal with them. And go out to get Luis blood since he's way too young to hunt. Plus, I don't want anyone else to know that Luis took them.
"Luis, I don't want you going out to get blood. I'll bring some home when I get back after work tonight." I said to him.
"Thanks. You're the best sister ever." Luis smiled as he hugs me.
"And me since I'm spending the night with you guys tonight as Dad said." Alma smiled as she hugs me. "I love you, new sister."
I might as well be the worst sister ever for putting my brother and his best friend into this.
