It's a garden - - it'd be appropriate to call it a park. It's almost 7 PM and a guy and a girl are sitting under the tree. The girl has placed her head on his shoulder. There's silence between them, and the girl breaks her silence.
"Why are you thinking so much? Why don't you go??" she asks him.
"But, I am needed here." He reasons.
"No! That conference is more important. Obviously, if it's you and me, it's the same thing. But you know that Dad won't let me go alone." she says, sighing deeply.
"I don't want to go. I don't know, why is it more important?" He sighs deeply.
"Because it is important, Mister. Now!! Enough of your tantrums. Just get up, and we are going home." she says.
He looks at her, he's irked for some reason. There's a conference and he doesn't want to go. Maybe he doesn't want to go alone. Maybe he has planned something else. He begins to speak, but she pulls him by his hand and takes him out of the park.

They drive to the Hotel Taj Vivanta. They are two friends cum business partners -- Ruhana Mehra and Vineet Shekhawat. They have a meeting in the hotel, that too, with foreign delegates. Vineet didn't want to deal with them, because of a bad experience in the past. But, Ruhana insists he does the same.

"No! Don't try it. It is for your own good. I have already told Viren, he must be reaching here any time." She says.
