"Guys this is my friend,Mila" Cesar said, dragging me by my hand into a stranger's room. I was met with two teenage boys, who were in the middle of a conversation when their eyes turned to look at me.

"Finally, another girl. I mean we could've had Jasmine but she's way too dramatic and we're more of a chill down to earth you know and..." he was cut off by the other boy, who was much shorter than him.

"Enough, Jamal. She doesn't need to hear your whole life story. I'm Ruben" he said, offering his hand for me to shake.
Cesar slapped his hand away and commented, "It's just Ruby." I giggled, ignoring Cesar and reaching to shake Ruben's hand anyway.

"So where's this girls you mentioned,Jamal?" I asked, sitting myself next to the tall slim boy.

"She's at writing camp. You're definitely gonna love her. Except she's more of a tomboy. Rough around the edges, and you seem like a nice well put together young lady." He said as I giggled and thanked him.

"So," Cesar said sitting on the boy's bed and patting the spot next to him for me to join him,"What's the plan for the weekend?"

"Well we were gonna hit the pool and chill. Feel free to join us Mila. You too I guess."He said turning to Cesar.

I giggled and turned to look at Cesar, shocked to see him looking at me with a smile on his face.

"As much as I love your company, we gotta go" Cesar said, grabbing my hand and leading me out the room. I waved at the two boys and followed Cesar.

"What's the rush?" I asked as we began walking home.

"Nothing, maybe I just wanted to get you alone." I blushed at his remark.

"Why would you wanna do that" I asked, nudging his shoulder.

"Maybe I just like your company" he said with a subtle smile on his face, looking down to where our feet met the sidewalk.

"I should probably get home, you know how my brother can get." I said.

"Of course," Cesar replied, increasing his pace as we walked in comfortable silence.

As we saw our houses close by, Cesar started a conversation.

"I'm not uses to being around quiet people, I mean you've met my friends," he chuckled, " but I like that you're quiet Kamila, its refreshing."

I smiled at his compliment, as he arrived in front of my house.

"See you tomorrow?" I asked.

"Of course." He responded as we took a few stepped away from watch other, each giving the other a shy wave.

Before he got out of my reach, I stepped forward engulfing him in a hug.

"Waving felt weird," i said as i pulled away " Good bye Cesar."
