Run your dirty fingertips on the book's spine. Who knows? Maybe the ghost is brushing her icy-tipped fingers along the same book. Each book bears a secret, some so funny your socks will fall off, others so terrifying you wish you were at home, under the warm, comforting covers. The ghost, some would say, haunts the library of secrets until her own mystery is uncovered. She waits- and has been for centuries, until an unsuspecting soul selects the right book. Now, I know you will be wanting more details on her unfortunate fate, so here it is:
'Mum! Can we go to the library? There is a book that I have been wanting to borrow for AGES,' The girl begged her mother.
'Of course! What is the book called?'
'The diary of Esther Jones! It looks quite old but very interesting!'
'Ok then, we will pop by after school!'
'Thanks Mum!!!' Said the girl, gratefully.
At the end of the school day, the ten-year-old was thrilled to be finally getting the book she had wanted for weeks. She ran into the library, locating exactly where the book was. She opened it onto the first page, only to be absorbed in a life other than her own.
Hours passed, and she had nearly finished the entire diary when something, or someone, grabbed her neck. She screamed for help, but she was immediately silenced by her attacker. The next thing she knew, there was a knife through her skull. As she floated up into her ghostly state, she knew she had to get her story out. Oh! Do you want to know her name? Well, her name is Delilah, and she still is on the hunt for her killer.
