The soft blanket felt homey underneath my feet. Rubbing my feet into the blanket trying to accumulate any warmth from the windy weather freezing my feet.I looked up at the large purple forest around me. Instead of the cherry blossoms found around Inazuma I was greeted with Dark vibrant purple stemming Into a vibrant magenta.
Bright blue particles floated in the air lighting up the dim forest.
I used to eat my dinner out here so often. Nakuweeds littered the ground nesting with the grass. You couldn't go a few feet without running into a patch.
The small clearing you were seated in was hidden amongst the dark trees. They were called Raven Trees because of how dark the leaves were. Almost black but shiny when they were touched by water.
This little clearing was a calming place for you.
You placed your cup down on the coffee table you were seated at. Continuing your book you heard a small rustle from a bush in-front of you.
You had assumed it was just a small mammal but a person stumbled into your hidden clearing.
It was a next go a small mountain, your back was to the arching slope over your head covering you from the light sprinkling.
A fatui. You were well aware with what they looked like. You were the Child of a wealthy businessman in Inazuma who invented most of Inazumas medicine. The main ingredient was Nakuweed hence the abundance of it on your private islands.
It's used to numb shocks from Electro wounds and cool down burns.
It's also used in many acne creams and moisturizers.
We also took another step forward in the business in Inazuma by inventing a floating island with electrified panels causing them to float. They are vision proof and cannot be turned off. That's what my Father says anyway.
I am the only child my Dad has so I'm going to inherit all of his business.
I am currently able to look down at Inazuma city so I don't know how this Fatui agent would be able to get 20,000 feet in the air without being the Anemo Archon.
The Fatui seemed rather startled to see me. I looked at him then back at my book.
A gunslinger on the "L/n residents"
"I-"
"Sit please."
I gestured my book towards the empty seat infront of me.
It's so lonely here. This will be the first person I've encountered other than my staff in three years.
He hesitated to follow my request but eventually sat.His dark hood waved along his head in the breeze.
I offered him a sakura mochi and he waved his hand like he didn't want any.
"I-I cannot accept- I am allergic to mochi."
I nodded and searched my bag for anything that didn't contain Mochi.
I found small doughnuts in my bag. Small and round.
I offered them to him and he nervously accepted.
"Do not fret, I am not going to hurt you. I am harmless. What brings you to my island today?"
He seemed slightly worried.
Is it because he has bad news? Could my father be in some sort of trouble with the fatui?
I was mostly in charge of financials and kept track of who we bought things from, the quality and the quantity.
I kept track of those things so my dad didn't have to. I scratched my head.
Did he sign a contract with the Fatui without me knowing?
Or does the Fatui want something from us?I stopped thinking for a moment when I realized he said something.
"We would like to form a contract-"
"No."
The fatui agent seemed startled by my certainty and aggression.
He didn't dare argue with me though.
You wouldn't dare argue with a L/n. Even getting on my family's bad side could ruin future financial plans for you, even if you had good credit and nothing to fear. One bad reference from us would be the end of you in Inazuma. You were already nice enough but if your father caught wind of the Fatui bothering you then that will be the end of ANYONE visiting you.
It's happened before when your mother was pregnant with you.
He had the island go so high up that no one, Archon or mortal could reach. If it came to light that you were even talking to a Fatui he would double security.
So you really are trapped on the island.
And this Fatui agent being the only person you've ever talked with other than the Maids. you weren't to inclined on him finding out, so no sketchy contracts.
It was so infuriating. The way your father treated you, locking you up inside a tower with no way to get down without his help or permission.
"But, Humor me. What does the Fatui want in return for goods and or Services?"
"We would like you to turn Sneznaya into-"
A floating island.
I could pretty much see that coming.
"I'll have to ask my father. He's the one who knows how it works and can install it if we do agree."
"Yes, Understood I will report to The Balladeer at once."
Balladeer?
I've never heard of the Fatui having a Balladeer.Must be one hell of a singer then.
The fatui agent excused himself and left my field of vision.
If anything The Balladeer doesn't sound to nice.
The Fatui has a knack for naming Harmless things Dangerous names and vise versa.Example: Tartaglia. Code name Childe.
The first Fatui Harbinger I've ever met. He sounds terrifying but in actuality he's incredibly nice. The Balladeer sounds harmless if maybe even benevolent. That only makes me think they're going to be more of and issue for me.
I sighed taking a sip of my Sakura Blossom tea.
I was starting to get sick of the taste. I used to like it when I was a kid. I haven't gotten sick of anything until now.
Now everything is starting to feel like history was repeating itself.
I picked up my bag and made my way up to my Purple Palace.
Thank you for reading 😊
This is the first chapter and I hope you enjoyed it.
