Work went through fast that day . Ever since I agreed to Marc's deal . He's been ignoring me and frankly I was sick of it . I walked into his office without knocking and told him I was leaving early . He narrowed his eyes at that .
" where are you going " he asked
" home " i replied simply
"Great I'll be there when I'm finished up here " he smirked . Oh no you don't ignore someone and then invite yourself over . "Sorry no can do " I said
"Why not? " he asks with a confused look on his face
"I have a date . So I have to go home and get ready " I walked out without a response . I smiled at his stunned look. I heard him yelling my name and him coming up behind me fuming .
" I thought I said no other men " I just looked at him .
" I can do whatever I please with who ever " I could tell i said the wrong thing because now he had a dark scowl on his face .
" No you can't . But I don't have time for this . Cancel were going to South Africa." He said as if it was final and walk off .
How dare just assume I was going to drop my life and go somewhere with him . I was going on that date .

I was ready . I decided on light makeup and let my hair cascade down my back and wore a pantsuit Alex picked out . I was about to reapply my lipstick when I heard the door .
" hey , wow you look beautiful " I felt myself slightly blush .he was wearing a nice Armani suit with the arms rolled up
"You clean up good yourself doc " he led me to his car . We drove to the restaurant and made small talk . He was very funny and easy to be around unlike some overbearing tyrant I knew .
We were seated at our table near the back when the waiter came and asked for our orders . When I seen the devil himself walk in . What took my attention away from him was the women beside him . To say she was stunning was an understatement.
She was a short thin brunnette with a pixie hair cut wearing a dress that clung to her body like a second skin . So he can be out with other people but I can't . Asshole .
" Anna are you okay?" Doc Campbell asked following my eyes to see what had distracted me
" perfect . Just really hungry ." Turning my eyes away from the man that had managed to ruin my evening without trying . Just my luck out of all the over expensive restaurants he could eat at he chose this one . I glanced at him and his date who were seated across in a private booth . Laughing at something his date said . He looked like he was really enjoying himself , so relaxed and boyish grin that reached his eyes . I must have been staring because his eyes turned to me and all traces of smile and laughter vanished . His date looked my way too when she noticed he was no more smiles and giggles . Good for him he ruined my night I'll ruin his . Smiling his way I turned my attention back to my date . I flirted and held his hand . Im so awful really leading this poor man on when I knew I had no intention on continuing then being friends . I wish I could like someone like him Sweet , handsome , funny. When he brought me closer to him and laid his hand on my thighs . I had to put a stop to this

" hello Annabelle and hello to you ?" Marcus said Politely smiling but I could see the fire in his eyes
" Lance . Doctor lance Campbell nice to meet you " he said standing to shake his hand he was a good 4 inches shorter then Marcus . Who stood so proud and tall very intimidating.
" likewise do you mind if I steal her for a minute " before he could reply he whisked me away and towards the bathrooms .
" your so rude ." I said he looked at me as if I was the crazy one
" I thought I said No other Men" he asked looking as if he wanted to strangle me
" you also said No women " I snapped quickly regretting the words .
A smile formed on his face .
" Ma Belle are you jealous?" His French accent coming out .
" of course not what you do is your own business. Same with me " I said lifting raising my head up
His smile vanished as soon as it came
" that's were your wrong your mine and I don't share whats mine get rid of the doctor and start packing were leaving Early tomorrow " he Said leaving me standing there. That man infuriated me but having him so close made my body react as if I've never been around a male before

I decided to just end my date early . No point in leading the sweet guy on . Dang I was a really shitty date . Id make it up to him whenever I come back from South Africa . I went to bed that night thinking how the hell I was going to get on that plane.
