Dean woke up groaning. His body was sore and his throat felt sore. He sat up and groaned again. Dean looked down to see his stomach still bruised. He groaned as he reached for his phone. It was only 2:45 in the morning?! Dean thought as he saw the screen. Dean had been blinded by the light temporarily. His head was pounding. Dean layed back down with a sigh. Then someone opened the door.
"Dean are you awake?" He heard his oldest brother's voice echo through the quiet room.
"Yah, I am," Dean got out. His voice was scratchy as if he was losing it.
"Do you.......feel ok," Roman asked as he neared his little brother's bed. Dean coughed. Dean shrugged to his brother. Roman doesn't care, Dean thought, he has never cared. Roman crept over to his bed. Dean quickly sat up with a groan. Roman was right at Dean's side. He lifted his hand and put it on Dean's forehead. Dean felt weird about it. He didn't move at all though.
"Dean, your on fire," Roman said as he took his hand off of Dean's head. "Let me go get mom. She'll know what to do." With that, Roman ran off leaving the door wide open.  But before he left, he turned the light on. Dean coughed as his mom, his dad and Roman all entered the room.
"Dean do you feel good?" Hunter said as he sat down at the edge of Dean's bed. Roman waited by the door and Stephanie went to Dean's side. Dean didn't do anything. Stephanie put her hand on Dean's forehead. It was burning.
"My poor little boy. Roman, got get the thermometer that is in the first aid kit," Stephanie ordered her eldest son. "Hunter, come here." Hunter scooted off the bed. He took a step and was at Dean's side. He pocked up his rough hands and places it on his youngest son's forehead.
"Damn Dean, you're on fire," Hunter beamed which made Dean give a small smile. Roman came back with the thermometer in hand. He gave it to his mother.
"Open up," Stephanie said as Hunter went back to the edge of the bed. Stephanie tapped the end of the thermometer on her hand. Dean opened up his mouth and Stephanie put the thermometer underneath Dean's tongue. "Hold it there, Dean," Stephanie said as Dea  closed his mouth. A few seconds later, the thermometer beeped and it showed Dean had a 102 degrees (fahrenheit) fever. Stephanie sighed. "You should get some sleep, we'll take care of it more in the morning. Lets go boys, Dean needs to rest." They all stood up and left the room. Dean layed down and looked up at the ceiling. He hated being sick.
