The next week at school Alyssa was shy at first. People were laughing, " Who is that?" They snickered. She just walk to the enrollment office and filled out her paperwork. Outside was a tall, doll faced, skinny guy. He was GORGEOUS. She automatically had a crush on him that would only grow.
She went to her first period, Advanced reading. She didn't ask for this and never would of. " So class, my name is Mrs. Connell. I'm teaching advanced reading for the rest of this semester. You may die in boredom. I'm just joking." She laughs and tips back in her leather chair. " The reason I have just given you that introduction was because we have a new student! Her name is Alyssa Harten and she just moved her from Bangor, Maine. " Everybody laughed at her hometown and she sunk in her chair.
Next period was basic math. No introduction, just stares. She thought, " Right after this school is over I'm tanning. I'm as white as the paper in front of me." Remember the gorgeous guy from earlier? He was in her math class! She was so excited to finally have a crush in her math class. He sat next to her, In fact. He was working on a problem when he looked up at her. She looked at him and he quickly looked down. She thought " He looked at me. He looked at ME." She must have made a face because he stared again and asked if she was alright. " Hey, are you alright?" He asked. " Yeah. I'm Alyssa I'm new here." She said with hope he would ask if he could sit by her in lunch. " Yeah, uh, I heard about the introduction on Connell's class."
" Yeah I was really nervous and scared because of that.." I said. " Hey uh, want to hangout after school?" He asked with the cutest little face ever. " Yeah just text me the deets." I handed him my number. He slid it in his pocket carefully.
