Will Vaughan POV

The harsh sunlight escaped through my bedroom curtains, flashing before my eyes and waking me up. As I was getting used to the morning light, I looked over to my alarm clock.

"8'clock??", I shrieked. I quickly jumped out of bed and went to my dresser, but as I was getting changed, all I could think about was the love of my life.

"Cameron..", I muttered still getting changed, what is he doing, waiting for me? Grabbing my things, I ran out screaming bye to my family and running off to school like the eshay sporty kid I was.

"Oi, Will! You're late." My best friend Eammon shouted out to me, I quickly ran over to him, ignoring all the popular girls who shouted out to me.

"S-sorry, I slept in.", I told him rubbing the back of my neck. "Yeah, yeah, have you talked to Matilda yet?" Oh right. I forgot she existed. Matilda was my Year 6 girlfriend. Completely lost in thought, I didn't even notice Eammon throwing me the football.

I was sure I had found the love of my life; completely sure. The way Matilda's name rolled off my tongue, the way she smiled at me when I caught the football and the way that I would resent all of it. There was nothing to hate, in fact, I was quite indifferent towards her, yet our relationship was hollow. The exciting spark of chemistry between a fine lady like her a lad like me was supposed to conclude to a happy, industrial relationship. Yet, my search for a reason to love is still just a..search.

"OI!" I heard Eammon yell at me. I pass the ball to him and he looks at it, and back to me.

"Thinking about Matilda?" His face turns into a smug look as I look away, scratching my neck.

"N-no.. just.. Tired." I replied.

"Alright , well lets go put our bags up to the class racks. Don't wanna be late for our shitty classes again." He ran off, screaming "ESHAY BAH" at every child he saw. I ran off after him shortly after.

"Alright class, head off to your maths and writing groups." The teacher ordered. Grabbing my stuff, I headed downstairs. Writing was a tedious as ever, nothing really happened. Then Maths rolled around. Cameron.. he was in my class.

"Hey Will." He said sitting next to me, I could feel my heart skip a few beats when he put his stuff next to mine.

"Wanna play footy with the boys, once bloody maths is done?" I stared into his deep brown eyes, lost in thought. All I could think about was him. Him and I together, holding hands, watching the latest footy. Him laying on my lap, as I play with his middle length, dark brown hair. Freckles covering his body. I was almost lost in thought, when Cameron snapped his fingers in my face.

"Oi, earth to William Vaughan." He yelled, My face lit up a dark shade of pink once I realised I had been staring at him for a long time.

"S-sorry, I was daydreaming." I replied, a little flustered.

"Heh, alright." Cameron chuckled.

As the clock ticked, the math lesson rolled around fast. I was busy, staring at Cameron, as the sweat dripped from his forehead doing this assignment. He was just so.. dreamy..
Before I knew it, recess came around. All the popular boys and girls gathered getting ready to play football. Cameron holding the ball, he looked at me.

"Will, do you wanna be on my team?" My heart skipped a beat, I was ready.

"Of course. Lets do this!" I replied, and he looked at me with admiration, passing me the ball.

As eating time soon finished, everyone was getting ready to play. I was at the front, with Cameron and Eammon supporting me. My girlfriend, Matilda was in front of me, getting ready to steal the ball from my grasp.

Everyone shouted, "GO" and with that, the game started.

I gracefully kicked the football, only to see my one love, Cameron jump and grab it. His black mole cut slick back esha wanger triple banger hair swished in the wind.

"Oh how dreamy", I muttered. I realised I got sidetracked and got back to it, chasing after Piper Mcgee who stole the ball from my beloved- I mean friend. I tapped her, making her give up the ball to Matilda. Cameron noticed this, and started chasing after Matilda. I watched as he took the ball from her tight grasp and made a goal. Everyone congratulated him and I just stood back, and watched in admiration.

Before I knew it, recess was over and we all headed back to our lines getting ready for our classes.
