I heard a buzzing sound coming from my phone as I saw that Chan was calling me. My face was still flushed from his question because I have never been out with a boy alone but i couldn't say no, Chan was a good friend. I hesitantly pick up the phone with trembling hands. "Hi Soo-Ah so do you wanna come to the beach to hangout i was going to go there anyway" he said in a pleasant voice. Oh no what do i say am i meant to say yes or no but i want to go but should i go i just met this man today. "Hello? Soo-Ah? are you still there?" I quickly snap my head back at my phone as I answer his question while stuttering "o-oh yea s-sure Chan i-i'd love to go" i while mentally cursing at myself for not being able to speak proper words. "yup ok i'll pick you up at 6 bye now!" "ya bye Chan!".
I go quickly get myself ready to go out with Chan

I got ready and was going to head out the door when i was stopped by a voice " Yah, Soo-Ah where are you going with that on" Seungmin said as he looks at me from head to toe. "Oh i'm just going out with my friend for a stroll on the beach" i replied hastily "Is it a guy or a girl?" he asked me while crossing his arms and leaning on the wall, "it's a guy, why do you need to ask?". Well I don't mind hanging out with your friends but make sure to come home by 7:30. "Ugh ok bye oppa" i said whilst walking out the door.
Soo-Ah steps outside and scans the road for any waving hand or a bleached blonde head of hair, soon I spot Chan waving at me. "Hi Soo-Ah let's go!" he said while taking her hand, totally unaware of the blush that dusted my cheeks. "The weather is good today. '' I said awkwardly, he simply nodded in response. We started to walk towards the beach in silence but not awkwardly. It was more like a silence that acknowledged each other's presence in a calm sense.
We shortly arrived at the beach and surprisingly there weren't that many people. We found a small bench to sit down and admire the view. Chan finally let go of my hand as he was talking about how pretty the view was but I was not paying attention to what he was saying as I was instead paying attention to the beauty of his side profile. He suddenly stopped talking and looked at me while smirking, "loving the view huh?" he said as i snapped back in reality "yeah heh" we both chuckled and the silence had now taken over.
Soon, a child around the age of 4 breaks the silence running over me and talking very fast. "Unnie, Can you please play with me? My Oppa said ''I was boring and he doesn't wanna play, can you play with me Unnie please" she looked at me with puppy eyes as I looked over at Chan to ask him if it was ok. He gave me a nod of approval right before she started dragging me to her sandcastle.
//Chan's POV//
I watch as the little girl drags Soo-Ah to her sandcastle. I subconsciously start to smile, Soo-Ah acts like such a mother figure to that girl, something I would dream to have in my life. Then it hit me; I'm in love with her. How should I confess? We barely met each other. I'll give it some time but I'll try to ask her to go with me to the dance. The way she walks, the way she talks, the way she smiles at even the shittist people is so beautiful its like she cast a spell on me. I keep smiling like an idiot.
*Third person POV*
The child that Soo-Ah was playing with had to go home as it was getting late. Soo- Ah checked her phone for the time and immediately widened her eyes, she starts sprinting back to bench scooping up Chan and pulling him to her house, Finally matching her pace he asked what's wrong "My brother gave me a curfew and its past 7:30" she said drastically, it was his turn to widen his eyes as they both run to her house. Once they get there Soo-Ah says a quick goodbye and heads inside waiting for her punishment.
As expected Seungmin was waiting in the living with his strict face pasted on, "where have you been young lady i told you to come back by 7:30 and its 7:39!" he said raising his voice, Soo-Ah looked down and said "Sorry Oppa it won't happen again i promise" Seungmin sighed and said "it better not now go to bed".
//Timeskip//
//Chan POV//
It was 1 am and I still couldn't sleep. Instead I was thinking of ways i could ask Soo-Ah to the dance, "Ugh no she will never go with me compared to that Hyunjin guy" i will ask her tomorrow at the end of school i finally decided. With that in mind I drifted off to sleep.
