"you think too much about kids who don't know of you"
—
The battle now ended as you watched as the abyss herald tried to escape by summoning a portal but you knew that Dain wouldn't let it escape as he is motioned his hand and used his dark elemental power, stopping the herald from leaving.
Motioning his hand, he began to tighten the grip he had on the herald, choking it as it struggled in his hold. The growing pain in your eyes was growing with each second but you push it aside, deciding to deal with it later.
'Well, looks like this plan worked out in the end.'
You thought to yourself as you watched as Dainsleif jumped back as a sword swung towards him and you couldn't help but let out a smirk at this, a hint of madness in your eyes as you watched as the princess herself, finally made her appearance.
Your mind went blank with the thought of finally seeing what she deserves after everything she had done to you.
'The princess finally decided to step out form her hiding spot.'
The herald calls out to the princess as she stood there in her almighty self, she gave no emotion as her sword disappeared into particles as Aether is eye wide at the sight of her.
"L-lumine!"
The air becomes to heavy since your eyes was staring right at Lumine who doesn't seem to notice your presence yet. Your eye of different color began to glow as you're ready to shoot if necessary but you find yourself hesitating.
"Aether...."
Aether extends a hand out to her, "let's get out of this place, it's dangerous!" He says and you resist the urge to let out a disappointed sigh but you already came to terms with all this 500 years ago.
You watch as Lumine looks at her brother, the first words she spoken to him as simply ridiculous. "Aether, why are you with Dain?"
She asks with anger in her voice, you found yourself praying that she wouldn't mention you just yet.
After all, 500 years apart from both of them, wouldn't hurt that you made your grand entrance one to never forget?
Pulling the hood over your head and covering your face, you wait until their little talk is over.
"W-what?" Aether stutters out, not expecting to ask something so unimportant when they both reunite after so long.
Dainsleif lets out a sigh at this, "Lumine, we meet again." He says, sending a signal not intervene until it was good time your way and you close your eyes, focusing on calming down your beating heart that was filled with hatered at the sight of the blondes.
Lumine looks at him without responding, and continues to talk, "I would have suspected you would be together with that woman as well."
Lumine looks away from him and turns back to her brother, "you shouldn't team up with this man and his partner, they are both my enemies."
"Lumine."
"But it must be said, here and now, so don't try to stop me, don't try to stop the abyss."
She states but Aether is so confused with this all, he couldn't wrap his head around it all.
She continued to talk ill about Dain and you couldn't handle it anymore and the ground where you stood, cracked under all the pressure.
Crushing the part of the wall you were hold, you ignore how your heart was beating rapidly as the pupils of your eyes dilated.
—
"Hey [Y/n]." Looking back, you look at your friend that stood a few meters away. The wind blew through her hair as she watched the sunset behind you.
"You shouldn't let those negative thoughts have control over you."
You look down at this, she hit the bull's eye of what made you upset that day.
"But, that's the type of person I am today. I may be considered a goddess in Teyvat but in their eyes, I'll always be the scared girl that always needs saving."
Your friend sighs but she run to you and flinch at this, she hovers over you. You look at her and see her determined face, "then, we'll prove that you're strong and you've changed! Let's rewrite your story into a better version!"
You look into her azure eyes and smile, "you're right, let's rewrite it all together."
—
"Not only did he failed to prevent the destruction, he caused so much pain that could never be healed. Scars that will never fade, no matter how much time passes."
Lumine says, she picked the right words to directly hurt Dain. But that's where she failed, she had no idea that Dain and the woman she spoke of, had made moved and no longer had any problem with it.
Lumine had actually hoped that she was not here. She could not face her just yet even after 500 years. There was no doubt in her mind that there was only betrayal.
Just as she was going to get ready to leave, she froze in place, everyone did except Dain who closed his eyes.
"I'm afraid, you angered her so much and now you will suffer the consequences."
He said as the distance sound of a familiar humming of a song the twins knew well enough even after so long. Especially Aether, his blood ran cold as this humming sounded so different than usual.
He couldn't move as he heard the sound of heels walking towards them in the shadows.
The humming came to a stop as clapping could be heard.
"My, such a wonderful performance that occurred right before my eyes. It's such a bitter sweet reunion between siblings since they're all the same!"
Dain left Aether's side and approach the figure hidden in the shadows, holding his hands the figure places their hand on his and he brings them into the light.
The tall figure of a hooded figure walks out in all their glory.
"It's you." Lumine forces her words out as the air around them only become more heavy and she could feel as she could be crushed under all this pressure.
"It's been 500 hundred years, Lumine."
—
"I'm so sick of her, of me and everything else."
