Looking down to Aether in the distance as he talked with a citizen of the city, there's a hint of hate in your eyes behind the fan that hides half your face. To think you would be at his side after all, but your plans were much important if you wished to succeed.

Without turning around, you feel a presence behind you and without taking your eyes off the blonde in the distance, you speak.

"What's brings you to me?" You ask but you raise a brow at no response from the person behind you.

"[Y/n]."

Dropping the fan in your hands, your eyes go wide as you turn around and see the one you were waiting for. You see the familiar figure of a friend and you couldn't help but smile as you stand in front of him.

"It's nice to see you again, it's been a year—"

"Paimon is so hungry," Aether looks at his companion and rolls his eyes. That's the fourth time this day she says she's hungry and they just ate an hour ago.

He glances up to see [Y/n] having her back to them in the distance as another figure stands before her. He could see her lips moving before coming to a stop as they both leave.

It's been move a day since he had gotten her back yet.....she made no attempt to show any affection to him like she used to.

She would always hold his hand in hers during their free time and would always have a smile on her face as her cheeks tint with red. She was such smaller than him as well, how did she manage to out grow him?

As they were walking to one of his daily commission, he knew guys were glancing at [Y/n] while others were bold enough to approach her while he was there with her.

She wanted to come with him since she wanted to buy a few things.

Paimon went ahead of him, wanting to get back to the woman who was waiting for them back at their spot, only to see she was gone.

"Huh? She's gone." Paimon says, looking around before shrugging her shoulders. "Anyways, wanna go eat? She probably went shopping for what she needed."

As much as Aether wanted to deny since he wanted to see if [Y/n] had allowed herself to wonder off with another man.

"..." He sighs in frustration, angry at the fact that [Y/n] had gone without him and wasn't acting like her old self.

He finally agreed and Paimon being happy, she lead the way to a food stand.

Sitting on a chair, you're focus on the needle in your hand as you sewed up an older red coat in your hands that you didn't hear the door opening and closing, a high pitch voice entering as well.

Being so lost in your thoughts about an old friend that you didn't notice the sound of footsteps leading to the room you were in. Only to react as you gripped the hand placed on your shoulder, your nail just above the vein in case it was an enemy. But you let go as you felt how familiar but distant the arm was.

Without looking up from the red coat on your lap, you knew who it was immediately. "So, how was your commissions?" Your grip soften as you feel Aether flinch, before going back to patching up the coat.
