Dear old Janie,
You were so sweet and innocently friendly. You trusted everyone, except yourself. Remember the time when you were at your 11th birthday? You finally convinced your mom to let you have a party at McDonald's and your cake had trick candles; you know, the one's you can't blow out. You tried and tried, and eventually started to utilize your hands to wave them snuffed. You caught some cake on your finger during the wave and flung it right to the ceiling! Everyone laughed so hard and the candles continued to spark. The rest of the party was a blur for you, Janie. You spent the rest of the party worried about the McDonald's staff worker wiping the cake from the ceiling and looking annoyed as they did. You felt so bad, it ruined your experience. Janie, it was you that ruined your own experience, and I forgive you for it. It is you that interpreted the reaction of the worker that way. You could have just not cared, but you did; you cared too much. This is not a bad thing, Janie. It's great! You care so much about how other people feel that it impacts you. That's okay. Forgive yourself.
