Chapter 17

Stella healed after some days, Stella and Loki were sitting in the Avenger Tower's library which they discovered after Stella's accident 

" Loki, where is Thor ?" Stella asked 

" He is in Asgard for some business and my mother also wanted to speak to him ." Loki elucidated 

" Ohh , come on let's find the others, " Stella said as she got up from her chair 

" No Stella, I don't want too" He whined like a child 

" But why, you do like spending time with me don't you ?" She asked 

"They don't understand me like you. They don't trust me " he said with a blank face 

" At first they didn't trust me too, but now I am their heartbeat and they are not going to trust you if you don't talk to them. " Stella said with a smile 

" You are my heartbeat too, Stella. " Loki said with a smile 

" Then will you not come out and mingle with the others for your heartbeat?" Stella gave him her puppy eyes and a sad pout 

" Fine," He said and Stella jumped with excitement. Loki thought that though Stella's life was so much messed up she still saw ways to be happy  

Loki and Stella went into the living room and saw all the Avengers relaxing as usual, and Tony noticed Stella and Loki 

" Starfire, what are you doing with Loki ?" He asked 

" Nothing we went in the library, for some reading " Stella answered 

" Well Stel-" Bucky was about to finish his sentence when Thor entered the room and said in his very loud voice 

" Hello everyone "

"Thor you need to stop entering like FBI " Clint joked 

" FBI ?" Thor seemed questioned 

"Leave it," Tony said and they all laughed including Loki and Thor

"I am sorry to interrupt the fun but I might need to borrow Miss Maris for the deal " A voice interrupted the laughter

Everyone turned towards the voice to see Nick J. Fury

" For the questions, I assume, Director Fury  " Stella said with a blank face

"Yes Miss Maris " He replied

"We want to be there " Bucky stated

"Fine, you all can watch from outside the cell." Fury said

They all nodded and went towards the cell, Fury and Stella went inside and the Avengers were watching her by the double-sided mirror

"Well Miss Maris " Fury started

"Miss Stella " Stella corrected

"Okay Miss Stella, what happened in the HRR when someone failed, I assume they killed them," Fury said

"They used to die, but they didn't kill them " Stella stated blankly

"How ?" Fury asked with a confused expression

" If you fail, they used to burn you until your skin burns. So, you will not even know that is that a human or not. After the burning, they used to take them to the room of mirrors. When they put them in the room of mirrors, the girls see themselves burned in the mirrors, Hydra doesn't kill them, there is a gun in the room but far away from them. And slowly by the guilt and humility they kill themselves ." Stella explained as she was having a panic attack
