Chapter 22

Fury was explaining to everyone the plan

" We have the coordinates of the HRR Base, You go and destroy it and come back "

" No backup ?" Natasha asked

" All the Avengers will not need backup "

"We all are going ?" Steve asked

" Yes, Rogers, Romanoff, Stark, Barton, Maximoff, Banner, Thor, Loki, Barnes and Stella, all of you are going to go. " Fury said sternly

"Why Stella ?" Bucky asked

" I know how these bases work, you will need me," Stella answered

" Okay" Bucky acknowledged

" Where are we going to land the Quinjet ?" Tony asked

" That is why this base is special," Stella said

" It is not on land, it is up in the sky," Fury said

" That is why it is not on SHEILD's radar," Clint said

" Yes," Fury said

" Get ready we will leave in 5 minutes " Steve ordered

Everyone went into their rooms to suit up, Stella got ready and went inside Bucky's room

" Papa " She called Bucky

" Yes ?" He answered

" You do know that whatever I do, I have a reason for it," Stella said

" Yeah, I know, you made me believe that, " Bucky said and hugged Stella and she hugged back

" Be safe " They both said together in unison

Everybody went inside Quinjet, Clint and Natasha sat in the pilot seats.

" Land the Quinjet as far as possible from the Base " Stella said

" Okay," Natasha said

They landed the Quinjet below the HRR base on the land

Loki made a portal, so they could go inside. When they reached inside the base, it was too quiet and there were no guards. Natasha and Bucky grew suspicious and suddenly black smoke filled the passage, Bucky and Natasha gripped their gun tighter, Tony raised his glove, Loki took out his daggers, Wanda started doing weird things with her hand, Clint aimed at the front with his bow and Thor gripped his hammer tighter but Stella was not alerted she acted calmly. And suddenly all the Avengers got tranquilized except Stella.

When the Avengers woke up they were in separate cells. Stella came in their view.

" Stella, you are free, open this up! " Bucky said

" Yeah Star, do it fast please, " Tony said

Stella smirked evilly and started laughing like a psycho and then they all saw Jack Maris near Stella

" You really fell for that, Avengers ?" Jack said

" We planned all of this, and you fell for it. " He said while laughing

" C-21 did good work in fooling you all. " He said

" Stella, you did this ?" Bucky asked in disbelief

" Yes, Papa ." She said the word Papa so bitterly that it broke Bucky's heart and she started smiling

All the Avengers were in great shock, they did not think in their wildest dream that Stella could betray them.

Meanwhile with Jack and Stella

"You did very good C-21 " Jack praised

" It was my mission, Master Maris." She said with a blank face

Jack was satisfied with her answer

" Why did you kill Eric Jones ?" He asked

" He was just a small sacrifice for the greater cause. " She said

" You are loyal to me, that is why I am telling you this " Jack said

Stella waited for this moment when he will spill his secrets.

He went inside a room and opened it with a passcode, Stella saw the passcode: 12965

The room was filled with chemicals

" These all are the bioweapons which are created by HRR. We will show the world again the terror. " He said

And Stella smirked and left the room to find the Avengers

Meanwhile with the Avengers

" You know this will be an insult to me, but Stella is a better backstabber than me, she fooled us well. " Loki said

Bucky was very sad and hurt, Stella was her daughter he did not think that she could betray them

Stella came in their view

" Stella when I get out of the cell, I will kill you " Bucky threatened the girl

" I am here to free you all," She said

" What is this Stella ? a game ?" Tony said angrily

" You are lucky I have not turned in the Hulk," Bruce said

" You betrayed us !" Loki shouted 

" I will never betray someone I love. " Stella said with hurt in her voice 

" I did this so I could know what secrets Jack is keeping, I did not know about this base until yesterday I received a message from Jack saying to stop this acting and bring you here, he thought I was acting but I wasn't. So, I went to Fury and explained that I will backstab Jack and rescue you all. There are 2 helicarriers surrounding this base. "

" Why did you not explain this to us," Thor said

" You are not good at acting.I knew he would be able to break one of you by using me and then this plan would never work. Now listen this base has bioweapons, go straight, and then right, then last left, you will find that room its passcode is 12965. " She explained and she freed all of them

" Remember what I said to you this morning Papa? Whatever I do, I have a reason for it." She added and Bucky hugged her

" I knew you did this for a reason "

" What are you going to do Star? "

" You guys collect the bioweapons and I will kill Jack and destroy this base ." She said

" How are you going to destroy it ?'' Steve asked

" This base as an energy source I will destroy it, it will destroy the base. Now go " She said and took her gun

" Be careful " Bucky said to Stella

" Always am. " She said and left to find Jack

When she found him, she saw that he was drinking.

" Ah, C-21 "

" My name is Stella Barnes." She said and pointed the gun at his head

" For years, I waited for this moment. You made me do those horrible things and did those horrible things to me! "

" Now you die, This is for my mother," She said and pulled the trigger and Jack Maris died

The avengers collected the weapons.

" Stella we are ready," Bucky said through his earpiece

" I have killed him," Stella said and reached the energy source and destroyed it

" We have 2 minutes before this blasts," Stella said through her earpiece

" Fury now, "She said

"Okay, everyone, you see that helicarrier, you need to jump on it. " Fury said

A helicarrier was near them only far 2 meters away. First Thor jumped then Loki, and slowly everybody was on the helicarrier except Stella

" Where is Stella ?" Bucky asked

Stella jumped on the helicarrier

" Here," She said and Hugged Bucky then everybody hugged together and Tony shouted

" GROUP HUGS "
