"Y/N, what are you doing?"
The old lady asked as she watched the girl balancing her body on a boulder, trying to spin resulting in a failure when the sound of a tud was heard.
"I was trying to spin and than stand on my hands.." she answered sincerely even if her grandmother looked at her deadpanned, rubbing her knees and removing the dirt from her clothing.
"Does this have to do with the kids in black uniform?" The lady sat on the snow placing both hands on her knees.
Y/N's eyes lit up and she nodded in excitement, as if the topic was her favorite one and she could talk about it for hours.
She had heard about this organization from a few years now, something that eventually make her want to be part of it too after she found out what they did. If you ask me, that would be something scratched from my wish list, the idea of risking my life fighting creatures that want to eat me sounds terrifying.
Yet, for the adorable Y/N; it sounded like a way to help people that needed a ray of hope and being part of the swordsmen that would contribute to the extermination of demons. It was something she truly wanted to do
Unfortunately she was pushed back at the fact of having no trainer, zero knowledge on swordfighting and she hadn't realized she had to use a special breathing style.
As if her dream was now further away from her hands and sight, she almost gave up even before starting once she realized she was in "base one" for a while without the proper indications.
But there was something characteristic about her demeanor.
Y/N was extremely stubborn
No matter the bruises, dislocated joints, scratches and dirt on her face. The girl never gave up
And after four years of sweat, blood and tears, she finally made it to The Final Selection.
With a Breathing Style she made on her own..

"Daydreaming again?" Asked a happy voice saluting as the door opened.
Kocho greeted the demon who was awake with the curtains covering the sun that tried to peek at the window; noticing that and reassuring her that she already asked for the window to be covered completely and rather use candles if the demon needed a source of light in her room.
It's been a while, exactly a month since Y/N and the Kamados' incident. During that time, all of them made their way to have a spot in the Hashira's heart, that maybe she didn't show that much yet they could feel comfort around her just like she could do the same.
Unfortunately, there were missions that as a Hashira, Kocho had to attend with her Tsugoku; Kanao by her side. The rest of the girls at the mansion helping Tanjiro and his friends with hellish training sessions while Y/N trained on her own during the nights.
It was one day, dark clouds covering the once blue sky as Kocho placed the supplies necessary to perform poison and antidotes for her mission from that day.
A boy walking nearby, curious on where the swordsman was going to travel.
"Kocho-san" called Tanjiro gaining the Hashira's attention "I am already close to use my total concentration breathing by the clock!" cheerfully as always and proud for his progress.
A soft smile from the girl with purple ends as she clapped her hands with pride for the effort and wording how she hoped for Tanjiro to already master it when she returned.
