Chapter 7

Chapter 7:

Amanda's POV:

I wake, reliving my dream over and over in my head.

In my dream, Ash asked me to be his girlfriend and we shared the pancakes he made for me.

I can't believe that happened in a dream.

Now how can I go back to being friends in real life?

I feel eyes on me as I stare blankly at the ceiling.

Only then do I notice that someone is in bed with me and has their arm around my waist.

"Ash?" I whimper.

The person in my bed pulls me to their chest.

"Shh, Mand, what's wrong?" Ash questions from above me.

I sigh into his chest and hug him tightly.

He rubs my back and repeats his question.

I shake my head and he kisses my hair.

Wait a second, he kissed my hair. 

Does that mean it wasn't a dream? 

No, I must be imagining things.

Stupid mind trying to mess me up.

I look up at Ash.

"Was it a dream?" I ask.

"Was what a dream, Mand?"

"Where you asked me to be your girlfriend."

I look down in embarrassment.

"No, that wasn't a dream." Ash clarifies, lifting my head up gently.

"Then I can do this." I smile, pressing my lips against his.

He kisses back and tries to deepen the kiss.

I pull away and suppress a giggle as I move away from him.

I run to the bathroom and lock the door.

Soon after, I hear the knob turning.

I turn on my iPod and blast Hunter Hayes.

Ash starts banging on the door.

"Dude, chill. I'm using the bathroom." I tell him.

"Want me to make us food?" Ash asks.

"I'm not that hungry."

"Fine, I'll go make myself food." He huffs.

As he walks away, I use the bathroom.

After I flush the toilet and wash my hands, I unwrap my wrist and gingerly touch the scars.

From the ledge in the shower, I grab my razor.

I make eight new slashes in between the newly formed scars.

Then I wet a soft, red washcloth and slowly stop the bleeding.

When the bleeding eventually stops, I rewrap my wrist and turn off my music.

I unlock the door and after opening it, jump onto my bed.

I grab my phone off of the nightstand and enter my passcode.

I go into settings and change my passcode to "2749".

I text Ash.
