15 orphanages and 12 foster homes all ranging from Mufastu to Alaska. Each one has had one thing in common.

Me.

Now, it wasn't QUITE my fault per say, as much as it was just plain coincidence. For instance, 3 of the orphanages and 2 of the foster homes were located on multiple different coast lines, so who's to say it was my fault that every one of those places fell ill to a tsunami? Or the other orphanages that coincidentally caught on fire when it was my turn to help in the kitchen? Or perhaps the 5 other foster homes that ended up in the line of fire of an attack in Tokyo? It was never REALLY my fault. If we were to go into technicalities then MAYBE it was kinda sorta my fault. It was my quirk to blame. See, I just so happened to be unfortunate enough to be born with an unlucky quirk. Literally. Bad luck surrounds me wherever I go, and all that bad voodoo energy came from somewhere. You guessed it.

Yours truly.

My quirk is rather unfortunate. It was literally called Bad Luck. A very rare sort of quirk. Normally luck based quirks caused good luck, but not me. No, I just had to be BLESSED with a quote unquote 'Cursed' quirk. Hey, it ain't MY fault nobody thought to send me to a quirk counselor. Then again, I might burn the place down anyway. My quirk worked fairly simple. I am a walking jinx, and that's when I'm suppressing it. But there's a catch. My quirk is always constant and I have to concentrate 24-7 on trying to keep my bad luck at bay, or at least down to a level where armageddon is not a 99% possibility. But on the bright side, with the amount of orphanages and foster homes I've been sent to, I'm now fluent in multiple languages, and have tons of information about foreign heroes! Oh yes, I am a hero okotu at heart, so fight me. I still want to be one. It was my dream since I was a wee babe, hence the hero analysis notebooks and hero merch.

(That barely ever survived all the fires and natural disasters that may or may not have been my quirks fault.)

It seemed like a silly dream for somebody as jinxed as me, but I never let that get me down. In fact, I refuse to let ANYTHING get me down. It was a promise I made long ago, and a promise I shall keep!

Flashback...

"Izuku, do you know what the difference between Optimistic and Pessimistic is?"

"No mommy. What do they mean?"

"Well baby, being optimistic means no matter what, you stay on the bright side of things! You smile because things will always get better!"

"Like All Might mommy?"

"Yes, like All Might honey."

"But what does Pessi-millist-ick mean? Should I do that too?"

"Oh no baby! Being pessimistic is the exact opposite of what you want to do! Being pessimistic is when you look at the dark side of things, and you end up all sad and gloomy and nothing gets better!"

"Like the villains!"

"Yeah, just like that! Izuku, baby listen to me..."

"Yeah mommy?"

"I want you to always look on the bright side, and try your best to smile, no matter what happens, because I can promise you this. What can go wrong, will go wrong, but it will ALWAYS get better."

"Ok mommy! I'll try!"...

Flashback ended...

I made a promise to my mother that day, and to myself, to always look on the bright side of things. No matter what this quirk throws at me and no matter how cruel the end result is. No matter what. Because. It'll get better, right? Just like my mother said. It just... hasn't happened yet. But that's ok. I was always one to wait. Plus, it's already sorta getting better! I'm going to be moving back to Mufastu, just in time for middle school to start! I'm pretty sure it's called... Aldera Middle school? Not only that, but the famous prestigious UA high was just a train ride away! Talk about luck! That is, if my newest ward can withstand the forces of Murphy's law AKA my rather... unlucky nature. But it was going to be A-ok! I'm a rather stubborn person and I refuse to go down so easily this time! Things were going to get better! I'm sure!

My dearest mother promised me after all!

(That's the prologue. Your welcome. Some adorable clumsy beans served to ya right on a silver platter. Enjoy!)
