(Izuku meets his roomie, a small flashback, a terrible first day, and chaos ensues.)

I tripped over my feet as my newest caretaker dragged me by the scruff of my shirt to my new room. It was a small room, big enough to house around 2 or 3 people. Due to my quirk, I always find it easier to immediately spot things that could pose a threat to me right off the bat, and looking at this room, I was getting pretty anxious. So many sharp corners... A mirror on the side wall... A large wrinkled rug in the center of the room, and a fudging CEILING FAN! This wasn't a room for me, this was a flipping DEATH TRAP! The odd purple lump of something in the corner was still up for debate, but meh, I'll live. I always have. My new caretaker all but flung me in the room, ending with me trying to maneuver myself so my skull does not collide with the corner of a desk. The caretaker scoffed and scowled at me. Uh... What did I do wrong?

"I heard ALL about you, you cursed child! Don't you DARE try anything, you hear me? Freaks like you should stay away from people with futures! And wipe that silly grin off your face!" She basically spat at me and slammed the door behind her.

Huh. Apparently I had a reputation.

I not so subtly started to put rubber edges on all the sharp corners in the room and kept my distance from the mirror and ceiling fan. Last time I walked under a ceiling fan, I ended up with a concussion and stitches. It wasn't fun, so I'd rather not have a repeat. Finally, I rolled up the rug and set it in the closet so no accidents could occur. Satisfied with my work baby proofing the room, I started to make myself at home. I only had a few belongings, as most of my stuff always ends up perishing in the crossfire. Of course, I had my beloved hero notebooks, all 17 of them. As I was always moving, you see a LOT of heroes. Along with my notebooks, I had an All Might action figure from my childhood. It had plenty of scrapes and burns on it, but otherwise was in decent shape and not a 'will fall apart if you touch me wrong' kind of thing. I didn't have much hero merch besides my 'Plus Ultra!' All Might poster and homemade Erasurehead poster I made when I was living in Tokyo. Aside from hero merch and such, I had a small picture frame of me, my mother and my father. I remembered that day well. We were having a picnic on top of a hill. There was this lovely clover patch where we set everything up. It was the day before my 5th birthday... The day before my quirk came in. I found a four leaf clover that day, and said clover was still currently tucked snugly inside the picture frame, basically protecting the picture from my unfortunate luck. It was a moment frozen in time I suppose. I could still hear the birds chirping above us as my father pouted because he got bird poop in his ice cream. My mom was laughing and holding me close, the scent of cinnamon and curry lingering on her clothes. The fresh smell of dewy clovers as we watched the sun set over the horizon. It was my favorite moment when my family was still together.

When I was lucky enough to still have them.

I sniffed, rubbing my bandaged nose as I traced a finger over the picture frame in my hands. Shoot, I didn't even realize I was crying! Well, I mean, I'm not really the person to be self conscious about my leaky tear ducts, plus, nobody noticed so-

"Hey. Can you quiet your sobs down a bit? Some people are trying to sleep."

HOLY SHOOT! THE PURPLE BLOB IN THE CORNER TALKS!!! I quickly wiped my eyes. Yeesh Izuku, be a bit rational for goodness sake. OBVIOUSLY the purple caterpillar is trying to sleep, and so one should respect it's wishes and let it slumber. Maybe then it won't eat me? I shook my head and placed my beloved picture frame on a small table near the empty bed where I supposedly would be sleeping from here on out, until I got adopted (Or until some sort of MASSACRE happens that would be entirely coincidental.) I glanced over to my side to see the purple caterpillar rising from where it had lain. Was it going to eat me now? It's danger meter was still up for debate. All of a sudden, a purple haired butterfly emerged from its violet cocoon... No wait... Oh my gosh, there was a HUMAN in there, and WOW he looks like he needs sleep.
