[A/n; I'm so sorry if
this chapter is boring(T_T)]Author's POV
Chatters and mumbles filled up the crowd of students as they talked within themselves about why they were all gathered in the middle of the school hall. It was the principal's order and he said it was important. The students began to wonder maybe this was the reason why the teachers held meetings everyday for the past few weeks.
It was almost the time for 4-months summer vacation and they couldn't help but to feel excited of what the teachers were planning of what they were going to do before the vacation started. It was all well-planned by the teachers since they held a whole week of meeting which was understandable.
"Alright students, here's the thing. I would like to announce that we will be having a prom party which will be held for 2 days before the summer vacation", he paused, sternly looking at his students who talked during his speech. After he satisfied when they crowd quite down, he continued.
"And your homeroom teacher will announce your partner you shall dance with. Please dress up nicely and appropriately and don't make a mess during the whole party. That's all for today, thank you"
The students were to dismiss as the principal began to have a small talk with the other teachers who seemed to agree with whatever he stated.
Yeji, at the back looked down to the ground as she knew what would happen on that particular day and she also knew, she definitely wasn't please with what was coming.
She looked to the side, making an eye contact with a person who already had his eyes on her. She furrowed at the thought of that boy would ask her to be his prom date. She didn't like the idea, at all. She felt disturbed and displeased. All she wanted was locking herself at home, hanging out with the girls of hers and enjoy their time together.
But the fact that their school was holding a prom party disappointed her. She wanted to spend her days stress watching k-drama or even reading a fan fiction story in wattpad. It was he hobby, though some didn't consider it once. She enjoyed the thought of finally being alone. But just why did the teachers had to make her life more complicated.
"I'm not liking this too, unnie. I know what you're thinking and what's going to happen", Lia, another friend of hers said while patting her back. Her faint smile made Yeji felt pitiful. She didn't like Lia concerning her too much like that, it pained her too. All her friends should've enjoyed their time rather than thinking about her.
"It's fine, Choi Lia. I'm fine, you know. It's not like they'll partner me up with that jerk.", Yeji joked as Lia giggled with her melodical giggles. It was Yeji's favorite. Hearing her laugh was enough to bring a smile towards her face. She didn't ask much. She just need her friends by her side.
" Let's go, we need to catch up with the others. We don't want to be late for Mrs. Lee's class aren't we?"
"Definitely not. She's scarier than ghost"
Both girls laughed at Lia's quirky joke. It brighten up the sorrow mood they were in earlier. Nothing had ever made Yeji laugh except her friends. When she was with them, her laugh was one of the loudest and she enjoyed that so does her friends.
As long as they're all happy, then she would be fine with it. She loves them with all of her heart and losing them would be the death of her.

After their last class, they all headed home. Some were planning to have a meet up for their projects, some were still here to write notes, some even stay until night for their duty. As of for Yeji and her friends, they went directly to the cinema to watch movie with her best friends.
All the girls - Lia, Ryu Jin, Chae Ryeong and Yuna, were all had sat on their booked seats with popcorns and drinks on their hands. Yeji sat at the very corner of the room while Yuna was in the middle. Well, maknae being maknae, she wanted to be around her unnies because she wanted them to.
"Why are we watching action movie? I thought you like comedy romance, Lia-ya", asked the eldest. But the sloth-like girl didn't bother to reply as she smiled sheepishly while munching her popcorn.
"I don't feel like watching romance at the moment, beside Squid Game sounds interesting"
She looked back at the screen, continued to munch her popcorn and had a little sip of her drink.
They sure enjoyed the whole movie, but not all as Chae Ryeong kept covering her eyes everytime the bloody scene came out. Some even shade tears when the female lead; Saebyeok was shot dead.
Overall, they found it amusing and enjoyable, maybe.
The day had come to an end so they all had to go home before 9 or else, Hyunjin will strangle them all for not bringing Yeji back home by then.
As they arrived, Yeji waved at them and head back to her room. She freshened up and did her night skin care routines. By the time she finished, she went straight to bed and went to the dream land instantly.
"I hope I got partner up with my friend and not someone as creepy as Taehyun. He give off dark, mythical vibes. Kinda look like a 'lover with a dollar sign' for longing for someone who had their heart for someone else"
