Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the LordLeonard Cohen, 1984
"I wish I had someone else's life."
I think people have thought of that at least once in their life. When they seem to have irretrievably fallen so far down that the only way up is to not be their own selves.
I am in that deep dark pit, where a bit of light just comes and goes, where there are ladders--but they are too far too reach. That's where I live.I graduated primary school as top of the class, with very little effort, if I may say so. High school wasn't any bit scary to me, I was confident I would dominate.
And I did... for a quarter.
It was the dawn of the internet, the time when the internet just started to be a thing. Facebook wasn't around yet, and all people used to do was mail shit to distant relatives and the usual pointless chainmails. Very few paid attention to the magic of the internet back then; except for me, I played flash-based games once and I instantly got addicted. I built an archer character that looked sleek with the black leather vest. School was just a distraction to my daily gaming routine, I go home and all I do is constantly think of more ways to improve my character. While my hot math teacher goes on to teach algebra, I'm just staring out the window thinking how I'm gonna beat my next quest. It was bad.I finished my freshman year with less than average grades.
Sophomore year wasn't any better either. But the year I regret the most? Junior year. To summarize; alcohol and games. I barely passed that year, and I did it by cheating on my exams. Senior year was survived in the same manner. Now, I'm about to go to college with no knowledge about maths whatsoever. 2x!? What do I do with 2 and x!? Sweet Jesus, help me!
