Narrative :The bell rang for first period, Damian, Xander and Gil all prepared their stuff and went to head off to class. Just as they did so, Miss Walker, the headmistress of the school, sauntered her way to the 3 boys. Her azure eyes englufed sovereignty and ascendancy, as did her stride.
Damian :
A middle aged woman was ambleing her way towards us. She acquired a polished attire. Her tawny hair delicately scraped back into a tight bun. As soon as Xander spotted her I could see him groan in indignation. "Damian I presume. Welcome to Silverdawn Highschool, I'm headmistress Walker, Xanders mum" as the woman spoke it became clear to me the reasoning behind Xanders vexation...and his obvious unpopularity. I turned to Xander with a smirk growing on my face, "Well now I get why nobody likes you" he arched his eyebrow then shook his head in clear defeat and acceptance. Miss walker looked so lost, it was quite funny actually, "Yes...well I'm sure you're going to fit in great" just as she said this her eyes scrutinized the area thoroughly and then she quickly grabbed the arm of a girl. She was brunette with refulgent red and white streaks highlighting the undertones of her hair. Her face was voided of light, but not in a discouraging way...more of a riveting way. "This is Monica, she'll be showing you around" nice to see that Miss Walker really thought carefully about who would be a good candidate to make my first day. Xander and Gil left to go to lesson and with that so did Miss walker, leaving strawberry lace and I to have a chat. Joy.
"You look lost" She decided to initiate the conversation thank god, "Unfortunately I know exactly where I am" I don't think that I replied with the amount of buoyancy that she had hoped for. "Nice to see that you're so optimistic" she remarked. Fair play, she was the one to initiate the conversation so the least she could do is carry it. "Well, I'm at a school where I don't want to be surrounded by peppy highschool brats. So yeah, I'm really happy to be here, thanks for noticing." She laughed whilst parading her pearly burnished teeth and then promptly returned to her default mode of jejune and monotonous expressions. "So, where you heading? I'm off to Miss Walkers drama class, so if that's where you're going you're welcome to follow" with that, I hesitantly pursued to endure whatever the day beholds me.
"Okay, so, as you can all see, we have a new student, his name is Damian. Now, because he doesn't know anyone, I'll be choosing your groups to avoid any awkward situations. Right, Damian, you can go with Xander, Gil, Jessica and...Ashley. " Oh Miss Walker. What have you done? I bowed my head in
despondency, "If she wanted to make things easier for me, then why has she put me with the wicked witch of the West and East? " Xander still seemed perturbed by the announcement of our group members, "Just...just...don't question it."Ashley pov :
"I've been waiting for Tyler to ask me out for months now, but he's stuck pining after frikin Daisy. DAISY. Like, I get that he wants his starter before the main course, but he better hurry up before his dinner gets cold." Jessica was maundering on about God knows what, but I was too distrait by who the hell was in our group. Out of everyone Walker could've chosen to put us with, why did it have to be the new preternatural,
idiosyncratic- "Who the hell is that???" Before I had the chance to finish my rant, I could see Jess scanning the new guy, "oh, trust me honey, not worth your time, your breath, or your matted lippy" I could see her envisage my words for a moment, but then, she sanguinely strode over to him and the 2 dunces. "I'm Jessica, but my friends call me Jess...so you can call me Jessica" I have to say, I get a lot of proud friend moments with her, I couldn't help but let out a little snigger. "Oh no, what will I ever do without the approval of you Jess. This truly affects me deeply, I don't know how I'm going to go on at this school" Jess remained with searing malevolent eye contact and spat her words maliciously, "Then don't." That's when Gil or scales, or whatever, decided to pipe up, "So, drama" and Damian couldn't keep his mouth shut, as per usual, insinuating in our direction, "you two should be good at this."
I thought I couldn't hate this guy anymore, let this lesson be the thing to prove me wrong.
