I opened my eyes just to realize I was blanketed by darkness. The pain in my lungs and nose was gone. My hearing was there now because I was Deaf when I was living. The last thing I remembered was being in a car wreck and having the steering wheel rammed into my chest. The impact killing me instantly.

My back rested on a hard piece of wood, my arms were at my side and my chest didn't move as I tried breathing, proving I was dead. Sighing, cold, cool mist flowed out of my mouth. Closing my eyes again, I concentrated on trying to accept the fact I was probably already six feet under.

Suddenly, I started sinking into the wood, so I threw my hand out, but it went right through the wooden lid. Excited, I flew right out of the container and saw my family and friends, plus tons of others sitting in chairs outside wearing black.

I was at my own funeral! My best friend, Haley Gray, was saying her eulogy she wrote for me. "Prue was my friend ever since we could crawl. Sadly, Death took her soul way too soon because of that stupid car wreck." Haley walked over to my casket and whispered, "I know who did it. It wasn't your fault."

Flying over to the table with coffee, I pulled the table cloth gently, but hard enough to get Haley's attention.

"Sorry. I really need coffee." Haley walked swiftly over to the coffee table and whispered, "Prue? Is that you?" I yanked the tablecloth once. "Wonderful. I knew you weren't dead. We'll talk at my house after the funeral, okay?"

I solidified my body again and ran my hand over her arm like I used to do when I was alive. Haley smiled as she poured herself some coffee. Then my best friend walked back to my casket. She took a sip of the coffee and wheezed. "Life will suck without her."

Life will suck without me? Like that's not over done... Granted, I just told her I wasn't dead and that was probably messing with her.

A couple of hours later, everyone was driving back to their houses. I just flew back to Haley's after turning back to being transparent.

Going to the attic, I grabbed the wegie board from Halloween last year when Haley, May and I went as the Hallowell sisters. I went as Prue, of course, May as Piper, and Haley as Phoebe.

I carefully took the wegie board to Haley's room and sat it on her bed. Just as I laid it down, the front door opened, scaring and making me turn into vapor. Haley opened her bedroom door and sat at the foot of her bed.

Pushing the moveable piece of the wegie board, I spell out, Haley, are you okay?

Haley looked at the board shocked. "That really is you? I thought I was having the normal doubting of someone's death moment."

It really is me. Why? Did you think I gave up that easy?

"I didn't. It's just... shocking."

Who killed me?

"I don't know, they think you killed yourself."

What?! So you lied to me?

"Yes! I didn't know you could hear me!"

Of course you didn't.

"Yeah. Okay. I apologize, I just wish you were still alive."

Me too. Being dead sucks. You'll help find out what happened, right?

"Hmhm. I'll drive to the police station." Haley smiled and grabbed her car keys.

I'll fly there and stroke your arm when you arrive.

"Okay." My best friend walked to her car, I flew through the window and began making my way to the police station.

Fifteen minutes later, the sounds of sirens distracted me. I flew over to the sound and saw Haley's car completely destroyed. She wasn't moving on the stretcher.

Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder. Turning around, I realised it was Haley. Haley, you're not dead are you?

Haley shook her head, "just unconscious."

Listen, you have to wake up! I want to be about to rest in peace.

"I swear. I'll go back to my body right now." Haley flew back to her body and began breathing, freaking the doctors out.

Her blue eyes were as wide as dinner plates. "I can see you, Prue!"

The doctors stared at her. "How hard did you hit your head?" Then I noticed, the doctor was my older sister, Hazel.

Crap. Haley, shut the hell up! That's my sister!

"What? Nothing. I need to get to the police station."

Hazel shook her head, "no, you'll spend at least a day there because we need to do tests."

"Fiiine." Haley looked at me. "I guess I can go to the police station tomorrow." Then she signed sorry. I just shrugged, I didn't really care when I was alive and of course, even when I was dead.

When Haley looked at me, Hazel and the others probably thought she just didn't want to look into their eyes. That was the way she was, Haley would look away and mumble under her breath when she was mad at someone. So, I could tell she wasn't mad at me.

Tomorrow would be better, I knew it. Of course, I would live with Haley in her house and not in the cemetery. Even though I was a ghost, I could still feel the air's tempature. Haley loved and missed me, so I was 100% sure she wouldn't care.
