Chapter Three - Aye
"How was last night then?" Felicity raises her eyebrows as I take my seat at our canteen table, the one in the back row, in the centre.
"It was good," I smirk, knowing that they'll want more than the three words I said.
"Just good? You got to hang out alone with Sam Fender! Girls would be dying to have that!" Sophie squeals until I finally give in.
"He called my singing beautiful..."
"Awh, oh my God!" Felicity claps her hands together, interrupting me.
"...And I blushed madly at that...then he said I was cute when I blushed," I join their obsessing squeals, getting quite excitable.
"Then what happened? Did you guys kiss?" The interrogation carries on.
"Dean came home."
"I swear your brother's such a cock-block! But I wouldn't mind spending time alone with him if you get me," Sophie winks and I shove her shoulder playfully. We all continue laughing until the others stop, looking round to somebody approaching us. I follow their gaze and see Sam stood infront of our table.
"Mind if I join yous?" He asks, politely, and sits down next to me as I nod.
"So, have you come up with any ideas for the song?" He starts a conversation and I can feel my friends watching me as I thought up my reply.
"No, not really. Last night I guess I had a rush of inspiration," I tell him.
"And a rush of 'I love Sam Fender'," I hear Felicity whisper to Sophie and I pray to God that Sam didn't hear that.
"Aye, me too. Well, I'm coming round to see Dean later so I'll see you tonight, Bells." He rubs my shoulder as he gets up then waves, with his signature smile displaying on his lips. I watch as he manoeuvres his tall legs through the maze of tables, turning around to smile at me before he left the room."Get! He could've heard that!"
"Well thank God if he did, you need to make a move, 'Bells'!" Sophie shuffles closer to me, filling the gap where Sam was a minute ago.
"Yeah, 'Bells', I agree," Felicity joins in.
"Stop teasing me," I roll my eyes, "but it does sound better coming from Sam's lips."
"Of course you'd say that, you want him moaning your name for the world to hear," Sophie adds and we all start laughing again - the kind of laughter that leaves a pain in your sides and an ache in your cheeks.
"So," I change the subject as I literally can't laugh anymore, "Is anyone going to Drew's party tomorrow? Dean told me about it this morning and asked if you guys wanted to come?"
"Dean wants me to come?!" Sophie exclaims and we giggle.
"Not just you! He asked us all!" Felicity says between laughs, causing a frown to take over Sophie's lips.
"It's a neon theme so we'll have to get creative."
"Oh my God! Black dresses and glow stick bracelets!" Sophie gives one of her wacky ideas - her best yet. I picture us strutting into Drew's hallway wearing black body con dresses and glow stick accessories, getting handed drinks and downing them as we dance our way in - the perfect scene.
"Yes! Let's get the metro into the toon tonight and go dress shopping!" Felicity cheers, all of us counting the change we had in our bags. We all display the total of £5 in coins on the table and give out another cheer.
"Do we all have our credit cards with us?" I ask, to address the next situation - actually buying the dresses and glow sticks.
"Yep!" The two girls reply and we start planning which shops to go to.The school bell rings and we all meet by the gates, ready to walk to the metro platform. The cool breeze makes me thankful that I'd chosen to wear my denim jacket and a hoodie instead of a blazer. We buy our tickets at the machine and board the metro when it arrives.
The city was fairly quiet for a Friday afternoon, but I'm sure it's down to the fact people are still at work, as the only people hanging around were teens and the odd elderly couple carrying their shopping as they stumbled doen the high street. Sophie walks in front, dragging Felicity and I behind her as we head straight for New Look to check out their dresses first.
The dresses section is near the changing rooms, at the back of the shop. We all shuffle through the rails, looking for what we thought would suit us and was also black for our idea. At almost the same time, we all find different styled black dresses we all like so we go into the changing rooms to try them on.
I go first, pulling the short, thin strapped dress over my head, and successfully pulling up the zip at the back. I smooth out the fabric before moving the curtain back to show the girls.
"Oh my God! Yes Bella!" Both my friends exclaim after seeing me in the dress.
"It looks perfect, Sam would love it!" Felicity smiles and I shake my head.
"It's not for Sam, she's got to feel like the best version of herself in it," Sophie begins, rubbing my shoulder supportively, "But yes, if I was Sam I wouldn't be able to take my eyes off you!"
"This is the one then?" I look between the two of them, seeing them both nod.
"Okay, I'll get this." Grinning, I head back into the changing room to change into my clothes and fold the dress ready for buying.Sophie goes next, trying on a mid thigh sequinned dress, which enhances her figure so nicely. Felicity and I give her the approval cheer as she twirls around. Felicity's dress is a knee length, skater dress which looks lovely on her. We all pay for our dresses before heading to the party shop to grab glow sticks and neon face paint.
