I woke up this morning almost like normal. I had a nightmare where my parents had signed the unwind contract. I decided to see if that were true and it was the juvies were coming tomorrow morning.
I decided I would tell my friends and Hailey and tell her my feelings when I get to school. That's exactly what I did. To my shock they all support the idea of me running away and now came the moment of truth to tell Hailey my feelings and the unwind order.
When I walk up to her she has that usual happy look on her face but this time it looked fake. I asked what's wrong but she said nothing I decided to shrug it off after I asked her "Hailey can we talk in private please?" I asked. She agreed and we walked away from all our friends. "Jace what's this all about and what did you want to tell me?". I look to the floor and I mumble the words that I couldn't say but she told me to speak up. "Hailey I said I love you" those words brought shock into her eyes. Before she could say anything I cut her off saying "I doesn't matter if you love me or not because my signed the unwind order". I look down and my face up and pulls me into a deep and passionate kiss.
I stare at with shock and nothing but shock. She explains to me why she did that and when she finishes I pull her off campus. "Where are we going?" she asks "We're getting out of here we're escaping those juvies and that damn unwinding. I promise they won't catch us not when I'm with you". That brings true happiness to her face. Happiness that makes me smile. This is a nightmare and a dream come true.
