Since the orientation was on a sunday, it meant that the girls had classes the next morning.
Taylor felt like she had settled in pretty well, she'd already made a friend, maybe three, but that was debatable.
She had met her roommate sunday night, who just so happened to be Julie Gaffney, along with Connie Moreau.
'Great, another reason for Logan to hate me,' She thought. It wasn't the girl herself, Taylor didn't like, it was the idea of Logan annoying her about it. Once he found out, life was gonna go downhill, fast.
At some point at about five in the morning, Taylor had woken up. Of course she tried to fall asleep again, but her first day of school was really starting to get to her.
It's not like Taylor was a morning person per se. She just didn't like being caught talking to a Duck. Especially not of Logan saw it. She really feared him, so she decided to go for a morning skate; her favorite.
She quietly got out of bed, and got dressed into a pair of dark gray leggings along with a white long sleeved shirt, her black converse and a headband.
She packed her skating bag, which already contained her skates and tape, with a pair of denim jeans and an off-the-shoulder sweater for later, with a white crop top to wear underneath. She quietly made her way out of the dorm, hoping not to wake her sleeping roommate.
Once she got to the rink, she sat down on the home bench and started stretching.
After about five minutes of getting warmed up, she changed her socks, and started lacing her white and expensive skates, not forgetting to put tape on her heels and along her pinky toe.
She then hopped over the board from the benches and started skating around, just working on her speed.
Speed wasn't necessarily important when it came to figure skating; just enough to stay on beat. But when it came to her all time favorite pastime activity, speed was extremely important.
She started doing a few double axels, and even managed to land a triple, which even surprised her a little. It wasn't because she hadn't done it before, it was because of how little she thought about her actions, and how early it still was.
At around six thirty, she decided to grab her stuff and head to the girls changing rooms.
After a quick shower, she changed into her said clothes and back into her socks and worn out converse.
She quickly brushed through her small waves and threw it into a small ponytail, brushed her teeth and headed out towards her dorm.
This time it was light outside, and as she entered her dorm, Julie was still in bed. She contemplated on waking her but figured that since they weren't that close (yet), that she'd let her be.
She quietly umpackend her stuff, and headed for the office to get her schedule, which she would've gotten the previous day, if it hadn't been for the unbearable amount of students entering and leaving the office 24/7.
"Hi, there," the receptionist greeted.
"Good morning," Taylor began nicely, "I'm here to pick up my schedule," she said simply.
"Of course. What's your name, dear?" the lady asked.
"Taylor Jones," she said.
"You must be the Jones' sister," the lady said with a smile.
"Yup, that's me," Taylor said, eagerly wanting the conversation to end.
"Here you go," the receptionist said as she slid a piece of paper over the counter towards Taylor.
