Panting, your shoes scraped along the ground as you attempted to stop quickly, turning to flee the other way. A gasp left your throat, stifling a scream, at the sight of the huge moblin in front of you. It edged towards you, snickering sinfully when you glanced over your shoulder at the hoard of bokoblins celebrating having chased you into a trap. You were going to succumb to either one of them, now you just had to choose.
Panic flooded over you as your thoughts raced to Revali's constant pleas for your safety.
You never listened. Or you just wrote it off as him being overprotective. As a Rito Captain, he was well aware of how to stay safe during combat, and you'd have done well to heed his words one of these days. Now, you wouldn't even see the bastard day, all because you were stupid and impatient. He wasn't even in, or around Rito Village!
He was out with Princess Zelda on business, believing wholeheartedly in your promise not to leave the village at night, or alone.
You were going to die here. There was no doubt about it.

Suddenly, all five of them fell to the ground within less than half a second of each other, each sporting a feathered arrow lodged in their brain. Shocked, you looked around in awe, unsure as to how this gang of beasts could just drop like flies.
The answer came with a sharp look of disappointment and an even sharper beak in your face.
"Y/N, if I hadn't have been here you'd have been skewered!"
Despite being feathery, Revali's fingers were still quite bony when he pointed them at you.
"I-I know, I'm sorry-!" you begged, overwhelmed by the near death experience. "I just wanted to pick some fresh flowers for you coming home." Bundling your crying form beneath his wing, his tone grew soft amidst a lengthy sigh. "Are you alright?" he enquired gently, cupping preened feathers against your fleshy face "Those goblins must have given you quite a fright, cornering you like that."
"I'm glad you were here. Thank you."
