She felt nothing, which after that pain wasn't calming.
As she walked down the aisle with Akhmenrah, who insisted to show her her cabin (only herself, to avoid her "disintegrating" others. She knew he thought she could do worse, but said nothing), she could only think of what lied ahead of her. *sniff*.
Akhmenrah had her take a warm shower and eat some croissants. Then he had her take some physical training. 'Amazing,' he murmured, amazed. 'No one can score 777 _ on the physical exam . . . I got 629. One score above 639 and you're superhuman.'
She went through rigorous training the next few weeks thanks to her trainer Will Kadazakh. He was ruthless, but after a few seconds he'd learned not to mess with Violet.
One day in the sci-fi cafeteria she saw more than usual people looking and staring. More whispers and jealous glares. Not a good sign.
One group even got up and moved when they realized they had sat next to her. Violet was confused - she had no bad intentions. She went back to her cabin to dress into her black Agent Romanoff suit.
Someone knocked on the door, and she sighed. 'Come the fudge in.' She didn't like saying fudge, but it was the only way she could avoid saying fuck - swear words were prohibited.
The door creaked open. Akhmenrah stood in his Egyptian pharoah wear and sighed. He pointed behind him at an empty spot. 'Calvin wants you.'
'Who's Calvin?' she shot back.
He sighed again. He seemd unsatisfied and exshausted. 'The real trainer.' Violet snapped back, 'But I don't care! The whole building has been treating me like a dog, a seventh wheel, and what am I supposed to do about it, stare and watch? Maybe say, "burn, little universe!'? I don't want to go, and I don't care what you say!'
He looked shocked. He never thought that she had felt this way, and if he did maybe he would have changed but Violet had seemed so content with this, he never would have thought she felt like this inside.
But she had shown different and unpredictable sides of herself - could there really be more than meets the eye . . . with Violet?
